Wardrobe access for non-premium players

Well if you are poor irl you can claim benefits,what company do if they become poor? Should I tell you the story of Lineage,Tabula Rasa,City Of Heroes? Should I tell you on which road L2 and Aion went? Should I point out all of the other games out there that turn on the wrong way? And guess why? Because they want revenue,because Korea don't care how but they want numbers and they want big numbers.Should I post you ther financial reports that are avalible for everyone?

 

As a player for over decade of NCsoft games I'm far far far from White Knight.I'm just not naive,or I don't belive everything should be for free and blame Obama or whoever there is because is not.People in america complain about petrol price as being soo expensive,while here in EU we pay few times that and we may not like it but we somehow deal with it.So here you have to deal with what you have and what the company/game is offering you in exchange of...NOTHING.You don't have to buy a single thing to play the game,enter big dungeons,pvp,pve,do arena,chat,faction world bosses etc.You don't have to spend a dime.Of course there is luxury things that IF you WANT them YOU have to pay.

In the past they was giving some garbage bags in the shop for FREE but if you want fancy good bag you had to PAY.See where I'm going?

Honestly, no, I don't see where you are going with this.

The game is free to play simply because will not sustain itself with a subscription model.
So, they need people to play to buy costumes, consumables and pay for premium to get money.

But if only people willing to pay will pay, they gonna be lonely, so they need people playing for free.

 

And... I still not want to pay a subscription just to have a feature. I still has to buy the costumes. And the slots for more characters. And I still don't know what more because I'm still low level.

 

So... what's the issue? We're the villains because don't pay a subscription? And the pay for all the things that they sell to us?

What you would like more then? Instead of unlimited dungeons entries f2p to be restricted to eg 2 per day and sell reset scrolls in the shop? Would you be more happy? Fancy things are luxury and luxury items be it in game or in real life cost money.Wardrobe doesn't affect your game play however you look at it.It seems is good to use for some,but not a mandatory.If you want to have a bigger and better toy(let's say vehicle) you have to pay extra.

 

Franky money doesn't grow on trees and they have to make them somehow and yet to keep ther promise that the game is not going p2w or alike.Because IMO taiwan/Japan was 1000 times more P2W then NA/EU atm.Would you like instead of strugling for soulstones just to buy them from cash shop? How about to buy few thousands? I would If I can,and I`ll admit it.I need now 500 along with 100g and 18 evo stones,and I'm very limited how to get that with the current patch,no beans and nothing worth to sell(I have plenty of Ncoins).Yeah if we went down to taiwan path I would simply buy soul stones,keep a portion for personal use,sell the rest and literally im done farming the said amount of things just spending few minutes in internet using my card,or in this case as I already have the coins - just few clicks in F10...

There is no reason to not make it available for all players. Literally none. You even lose it after premium stops.... Most games at least let you keep premium stuf like this after it stops or dont make it part of the premium at all.

There is also no reason that they cant do this, they have changed enough in the code, so there is no reason they cant change this.. hell its easy to change it but i wont go into that,.,,

Its the only reason why i dont buy dragon pouches and costumes.

Every single person in this thread saying that 'white knights' are defending ncsoft, that this game is pay to play, or anything of sorts. You need to get your heads out of your *cricket*. Have you EVER played any other MMO? Having a separate bank tab that is designed for costumes is in no way making the game any less fun for anyone that has half a brain. If you're running out of space already then you need to rethink on what's important to keep. You want every single costume in the game? Then *cricket* get premium.

Reading through this, is a bit ridiculous, with the "fighting" that seems to be going on.

Now, wardrobes have been like this in many games and MMO's as a privilege to those that play, the game simply follows those traditions.

We shouldn't over react on this issue either, but perhaps you should ask for a way that we could get this privilege for free, limited time of course. Such as winning in an event and this could be a prize. This could perhaps be the "middle ground". 

I can see how this could be frustrating, but the game must make a profit some how, and they are definitely not the first to have a wardrobe as a privilege.

I hope NCsoft locks wardrobe access to ONLY the paying customers. You guys have employees to pay, rent to pay, taxes to pay and shareholders to answer to.

 

Contrary to popular belief, this game WILL become Pay2Win when they release wardrobe for free because they will then have to make money off a Pay2win feature which is something we dont want.

 

Its astounding how some people just download a free polished game which runs on paid-for servers by NCsoft and demand a vanity feature for free. If NCsoft releases this feature for free players, they lose me as a paying customer. Simple as that.

Before calling other people brain dead make sure you aren't yourself. The amount of dragon pouches needed to expand the secondary storage is minuscule compared to the inventory expansion cost. If you want space do that.

If they're gonna make me pay for the basic stuff such as inventory/bank space(not even tradeable), then lock game features behind a paywall then the founder pack money they got from me is also the last they'll see. Simple as that.
