next event vial price?? :D

just checked the patch notes and I hope the event "is NOT working as intended" xD
1 vial will cost 83 event token ok and currently 1 vial costs 79 token, so ok no big difference, but hmmmm lets compare:

At the current event we get 36 tokens from the weekly + 3 from daily dungeon+ 4 from moon refuge + 3 from login reward (with premium), so 85 a week without login reward (106 with). So 1 vial a week for your main, nice. And 1 vial every two weeks on alts, if you do 2x weekly + 2x moon refuge/take some login ones, also nice.

Next event we will get 12(!) tokens from the weekly + 3 from daily challenge + 7 from daily fishing + 3? (no confirmed amount yet, but probably 3) from login reward (with premium), so 82 a week without login reward (probably 103 with). So not even 1 vial a week for your main without login ones and NO on your alts at all in the whole event, even if you do 1 month of weekly challenges. You will get 48 for 4 weeklies, thats a bit more than half an oil :D There is like no point in doing weeklies on your alts for event currency, if you can't even get 1 oil at all xD

ALSO the 7 token from fishing hmmmm...you will need 12600 pearls each day for 7 event tokens. You can get around ~30k pearls a day with normal auto baits and thats are 150g and 12 hours of fishing, so you need ~ 60g and 5 hours (roughly calculated, not the actual math) for 7 event tokens and this each day? We need to spend around 420g + 35 hours fishing each week to get all fishing token + weekly + daily every day + 1 from login for 1(!) oil? You can't be serious with that :D
If you don't do the fishing at all and take most of the login ones you will get 1 vial ~every 2 weeks on your main and thats it, so ~ 2 vials in the whole event (with premium :D), maybe 3 if you do a little bit fishing.

I don't expect anything from nc anymore and I know patchnotes can change (but mostly negative ninja nerfes lol :D), but wtf? Is this really working as intended? @Cyan
Or did I overlooked something? (I don't think we will get like 30 tokens from login reward xD)

I think your daily pearl is a bit overestimated. (i feel like i tend to get around ~25k for a full set of leisure points/1500 bait. Perhaps you use current leisure points and fish through reset to use more than the 4500 pool?).

 

 

Using your numbers, 420g/week is 8.57g/token.  This works out to 711g vial (I feel this is a bit on the low end).

i believe Pandana estimate to be more in line with my fishing results ingame. 

 

BUT by either of your maths, don't spend on autobait, and use the gold savings to buy an oil off f5.

Like seriously, 1800 pearls points for 1 single dark heart token and 1 oil needs 83 tokens?

Do you know how long do we have to fish to get 1800 pearls and we need 7 of them every single day??? 12,600 angler pearls per day is roughly equivalent to 4 hours of NON-STOP fishing per character!!!

even if you only have 1 character, 4 HRS of fishing + doing 4 daily challenges per day = around 5 hours at least to participate in this event JUST FOR 1 CHARACTER!!!

 

and if you have more than one (which you probably have a few due to being F2P with the crazy level of amount of oils/pet packs to upgrade your stuff)???

~10 HOURS of FISHING PER DAY if you have 2-3 characters!! DANG!!! Every day is only 24 HOURS!

Wait, I could see some white-knights are going to blame people having more than 1 character :giggle.

 i'm laughing so hard but yet im crying in same time ,anyway it does not surprise me ,i already said in the past about this, ncsoft will try to limit the oils from events .

In past we had events with 1-2x oils per week per character  FREE OIL
 
Step 1- they limit 5 vial oils per account ,vial oils still 1-2 per week
Step 2- increase the vial oil price so people buy only 1 vial oil per week 
Step 3- make event harder so people can;t do on alts ( reduce the vial  oils income )
Step 4- increase more the price vial oil so people can barely make 1 oil per his main character
Step 5- put event currency extra for premium member ( baiting you to buy premium membership)
Step 6  NOW - pay gold ,more than half of market price to get the " FREE vial OILS  we had once in past "

STEP 7-  NO MORE VIAL OILS in event , go use CRAFTING vials 33% aka 2 fail you are always on loss 

You need daily 12600 points to buy 7 token events ,to make the points you need 50-60g per 7 days =350-420g to buy the FREE OIL we had once in past . 
Price market sacred oil = 520-560g but sometimes even more xD

ohhhhhhhh ALMOST FORGOT ,you need 4-5h to get the 12600points daily , 
       
                     BUT FISHING IS NOT FIXED YET     KEWKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK  2nd week and no fix yet ,while russia and korea has it already .

the ~ 400g number you are using is roughly HALF the tokens for a vial.  If you consider the full event, ~400g each week for half a vial, 4 week duration, you have paid 1600g in bait for 2 vials,  which is 800g/vial. so remember, your not paying 400g a week for a full vial, you're paying 800g over 2 weeks for 1 vial.

 

 

If  i was short just a few dark hearts for w/e I wanted, I wouldn't mind  angler pearls to make up the difference. If you are going for vials with event currency though, doesn't look to be worthwhile to  use angler pearls at all.

 

@prietess instead of spending gold on bait for fishing for angler pearls to dark heart exchange, if you just set aside that gold for  savings,  after two weeks you could use that gold to buy ~1.5 sacred oils based on NA market prices. Its not worth the pearl exchange on even 1 character, so no need to worry about it on multiple characters.

SO...auto fishing is bugged...as in it's not working AT ALL. and next event we are supposed to fish on all main+alts to get what we would usually get from these events(5 vials a week). What is going on? Why are you treating you're already short playerbase like trash? Wake up.

After Hunter refuge's mass murder and disappointment one would expect a nice event to cover up for all the crap this company has been up to, but no, you are really into killing the game at an even faster pace than expected. Kudos to you.

Defend what? o.o I do not defend something that i see is not rewarding. Even tho the event itself doesnt bother me since i famr my evo stones and make my own oils.

I think they should reduce the vial price a bit. Its not jsut that you are short 1. Its gradually increases. So first week you are short 1, next week 2 and so on.

They should reduce the price to 82 at the very least so that you can actually get 1 per week per character or increase the amount you can buy for angler pears from 7 to say 10.

 

so far from what i see the event is not worth it in general anyway.

Well obviously I'm not gonna use gold to fish for event currency and i suggest for everyone do same as me ,paying gold ,huge amount of gold to get something that should be free ,this what event mean =do certain task to get free materials .

 

But we know NCSoft ,nothing is free , free =spend money   kewkkkkk.

 

What I'm trying to point out is how Ncsoft change the events from past to now  and be sure the next ones will be  even worst.

As non premium membership events token per week wil be :

1- Daily 4x = 3 tokens ×7days =21 token 

2- Weekly = 4+4+2+2= 12 token 

3- Login reward = 1x 7days =7 token 

So in total we have 40 token .

4- Fishing = 43 * you need to complete to 83 price vial.

 

 

For the rest you need to fish =43x tokens x 1800points 77400 points 

So if we transform these points in gold and time should be +/- 150g per around 26k-28k points 12h.  Around 350-380g and 30-32h for the rest of tokens. 

 

I want to mention here that these points 77400 are free materials as well so the price you pay for the damn 'FREE VIAL ' is even higher . Gold + free materials. 

 

Ncsoft should ban it self for scamming ?

 

THIS for non premium membership and per 1 character.  

 

Maybe I'm bad at math ,someone else do a compare.

 

BUT THE POINT HERE IS : events should be FREEEEEEE ,do certain task to get materials . 

 

If they continue this way they just could put gold price for events token and log in ,spend ur credit card on gold ,buy the item and log off .

The exchange rates are ridiculous. In previous events one round of weeklies alone was enough to buy a pet pack now you can't even buy one with 2x weeklies... reward cut by more then half..

Agreeing here with the general consensus, NCWest you gotta take a close look at this event, the event currency income and the event reward prices in dragon express.

Because this makes no sense at all, you dont want us to do events anymore? Cause I already got some hints in that direction with HR from you.

No surprise, they maintained radio silence even while players exploited hr event with alliance invites. kr and ru got it fixed while we didn't even get to hear a single word about it from ncwest, we are a third world country as far as bns is concerned.

Just an update for non premium players : 

JustinTrap said in stream that for 3 pets collection you get 2 vials +2 pet packs . 

So what that mean,well you can go for these 3 pets collection cost tokens  70-60-50 =180 tokens ( the 70 pet cost you can sell in market after u done ur collection ) .

1 Vial oil cost 83 tokens .
1 Pet pack cost 29 tokens . 
 
If you make 2x +2x -224 tokens so is better to go for collection pets for a total of 180 you get 2x +2x +1 pet to sell. 


This if JustinTrap words stay same for live patch and they don't ninja change pet collection reward to  1 vial +1 pet pack ( last pet collection had reward 1x +1x ) but i doubt it will stay 2x+2x since NCsoftscam YOU KNOW ??!!?

And PS: do not use fishing points to get EVENT TOKENS  is clearly not WORTHING, you just lose gold and materials for nothing .

So no answer and in the stream it was the same amount. Sad, but as I wrote, I don't expect anything anymore :D Probably I invested more time in writing this post, than the team, who designed this event  but at least I don't have to feel like I will miss out many oils when I take a break
