Without x2 loot weekends, Midnight Skypetal Plains become a dead content again

Don't mistake people spamming runs for MSP 1-3 and think that the content is alive. It does not. People does 1-3 cuz the daily quest still gives MSP keys, and is part of daily challenges. After constant spamming MSP1-6 during the previous events, people now have a lot of MSP locked chests they want to open but don't want to waste gold/moon crystal to open them, and 4 free MSP keys + 12g make + done 1 out 3 daily challenges for doing MSP 1-3 once per day not a bad deal.

 

However, MSP4-6 is very rare to see. The reason is that there is no longer x2 loot. While I agree that x2 loot should not happen always, it should at least happen during weekends. The old MSP used to have prime time where it x2 loot, giving people a reason to farm higher stages.

 

I think it is a waste. MSP is revamped as a catch-up content for non-raid players to have a chance earning BT/VT/TT soul shields, as well as other materials. Now as no one wants to farm stage 4+, there is literally no way for players to get currencies for VT and TT soul shields, unless they have a lot of solar energies to exchange green stones to yellow and purple stones.

 

Or, maybe NCWest plans to ditch the content like how KR ditches MSP in favourite of a new farming area with Celestial Basin style and MSP theme. Thus, they don't care about fixing it, cuz the revapmed MSP they claim to be permanent is going to be shut down anyway.

I dont think it "sucks" or is band without double loot. simply cause:

 

MSP is an alternative way to get the soulshields for both PVE and PVP, the double loot made it easier and faster to get as it was an event which is ok, but essentially they should not be that easy to get, people should put in work and effort and now that its back to normal loot, that effort is there. MSP is supposed to be used as a means to get TT shields or Nova core ones.

 

the ones who want onyx scales and fragments should do brood chamber as it drops a guaranteed onyx scale and you get fragments from the dynamic quest (so for each completion you get fragments). Asside the shields there is no point to run MSP for.

My clan still runs MSP. Players might consider it dead now but truly it isn't. Also players need to understand 2 things, the double loot weekend was them being nice and it is a korean game so there is a grind. Your better off running MSP for at least your full VT soulshield set if you do not have the means to get into a raid for the achievements and it is also much easier then said raids...cheaper in most cases as well considering the cheapest carry run is what 500g? Then you can also get the 1-5 Grand Celestial soul shield set in MSP which sure takes Stage 6 but no achievements involved, run it enough and you end up with a nice title to boot. In most cases this will be the one way half of the players get those soul shields due to not meeting the requirements most set to be able to join the raids.

Don't forget you can craft the onxy scales, sure not cheap but 1 full scale is about 1 day worth of gold from dungeons roughly.

You can be extremely efficient about it. If your sole purpose is to get boxes and not do nonsensical quests, you can practically open stages in less than two minutes, Depending on your timing with boss kills, you can clear one stage 6 every 20 minutes, maybe even more frequently. That will get you to sweet soul shields. Obviously it's going to be a royal pain in general terms, but hey, it's a viable alternative to not having a TT raid, not to mention it excludes the rng to the most part. Would you rather get a box with the shoul shield for your class, to depend on the rng gods giving you the drop for your class, in TT?

As I said in my own thread, MSP takes too long and waste too much time.

15 minutes (easily) just to gather enough people to do, and 20 minutes to complete because most of the members are 50k or less dps.

Just too much.

MSP 4-6 mostly dead because not everybody have 1,4k+ AP.
