High levels should be scaled back to aproprite lvl when doing dungeons

Or you can let the dungeon run faster for higher levels that are running it for the 40th time, be it for materials or cosmetics.

 

Or be happy if a high level joins when you have a bunch of people 10 levels below the dungeon level so you can still run it in the first place.

 

Or run the dungeon solo if challenge is all you are after.

they can still run it for mats and cosmetics ,  however at the appropriate lvl

 

They hve made it so high levels need to run low level dungeons, so regardless of there lvl they would need to run it.

 

Dungeons are meant for grp play not solo.  FFxiv do this scaling system and it wrks fine.

 

AS someone said  there would hve to be massive changes to the code.  So its just a whinging thread lol,  maybe future content could hve a scale

system.

The issue is primarily mechanical. If they are 45, and you are 35, they have 10 more focus points to spend than you, would they keep those talents? Would their weapons and accessories be scaled back, and if so how far? What soul shield would they have equipped, or would they need to keep a lvl appropriate one?

 

See the problem? The stats are 90% equipment in this game, and just scaling it back isnt as easy as it sounds.

FF14 ARR done this because the high levels will not waste time running low level dungeons, and low level cannot get enough players together to form a 4 man party because of its 1T/1H/2DPS crap. So, FF14 gaves high level players tokens they can use to exchange for gear to run those low level dungeons.

 

In this game however, most normal dungeons can be solo, 1 star a good PO class or a few level above, and only the purple 3 star 6 man needs 5-6 people. When the real L50+HM endgame dungeons gets released in NA, that is when we will have issues with crappy L50 players that are under-geared.

 

On Feb 10, Mushin Tower will be a good introduction. Warning: lots of L45s will be in tears.

Not to mention how to you scale back the skill points? No, I do not want to lose that skill, I need this skill, etc, etc.

Exactly, which ones would it scale back? And what about achievements you got after that level that give stat boosts? Too many questions. This game is not easily scaled back. Which is good, it allows more complexity and depth when it doesnt have to be adjustable.
