  1. I believe this information is incorrect. To my knowledge, the only dungeons that had their loot removed were the ones that had been part of the daily challenge but were not buffed in the UE4 update, specifically Dreamsong Theater, The Shadowmoor, and Ransacked Treasury. I do not believe the dungeons below this were affected. I have only run Drowning Deeps twice since this topic was brought up, but it DOES still drop soul shields and the Numok Bracelet, so loot has clearly not been removed (as opposed to Ransacked which gave me no box at all). I will have to keep running to see if I get the outfit, but I doubt they would remove only 1 item, and lillvargen already posted they they have had it drop since UE4.
  2. Are you talking about doing the solo version for the raid storyline (orange quest)? There are no special mechanics that I recall; you should be able to kill very quickly. If you're taking too long, maybe finish the yellow storyline to gear up and then finish Raven King afterward. The only reason to do it at all is for the achievement. Alternatively, if you ever see anyone still running Skybreak Spire, you can complete the raid version with a team and it counts toward finishing the story as well.
  3. I have not run Drowning Deeps in a long time so I will have to check the drops there. But I am sure the Seductress/Temptress exchange tickets* still drop in Bloodshade Harbor, though it has always been a fairly low rate. And to my knowledge, the Enchanting Seductress/Temptress versions can still be obtained in Nightshade Harbor as well, but that drop rate is even worse and is a tedious farm. This is how I've gotten the ones I have, since I always do things the cheap way, but it does require some patience and RNG. If you'd rather PvP for it, Belido's suggestion about the merchant is a good choice. * The ticket exchange merchant is available outside the dungeon entrance.
  4. You have in no way countered anything I said. I acknowledged in my post that the item may have been available early. But an item being available early is in no way helpful if it also is removed early. The website specifies that the gift will only be available on the 25th for 1 day (which is 24 hours). The Patch Notes were incomplete (at best) as they did not specify the time zone. And if the item could indeed be purchased early, that means the Patch Notes are not only incomplete but actually inaccurate, which was the point of the entire thread.
  5. According to the Patch Notes, the Divine Gift could only be bought specifically on the 25th, so if it was available before then, I didn't hear about it and that was not what was advertised. The real confusion is that the Events Preview news item (all the way back on Dec 2, five days before the Patch Notes) specified the catch: "starting at 12:00 a.m. SERVER TIME." I live on the East coast of the US and it was already gone by 5pm Christmas afternoon when I checked. It's just dumb luck that I had already popped in Xmas Eve night and spotted it. I feel sorry for anyone who lives on the west coast of the US, was spending the morning with their families, and trusted the Patch Notes only to find they had missed it completely. x.x; I know it was a gift and they didn't have to offer anything at all, but the fact that they did not consistently post the "server time" disclaimer or take into consideration players' different time zones did come off a little mean-spirited. At the very least, it's yet another example of failing to produce accurate Patch Notes.
  6. The "Pet Aura" is the part with the stats, while the "Pet" is just cosmetic. I would not recommend buying any upgrade items or gear off AH until you have finished story. The yellow quests give you tons of gear, including Auras ultimately up to "Unleashed Alpha Pet Aura." You do not want to wear the "Pet" itself. It is a skin which can be applied by Shift+Left Clicking your current Aura (or Left Click and select Manage Equipment), selecting the "Alter Appearance" tab, and inserting your Pet skin from there. Keep in mind, there is a fee for non-Premium members (just like with weapon skins). If you do equip the Pet skin, remember to remove it before you discard/replace the Aura. Only the Pet Aura needs to be upgraded for stats with Pet Packs, etc. Again, do NOT do this until you are done with story and ready to focus on upgrades. The Pet skin cosmetic can be combined with duplicates to make the Awakened and Ultimate versions of the cosmetic. You can view all these in the Wardrobe (F3).
  7. There is a "Dungeon Master Weapon Selection Chest" that has a (fairly low) chance to drop from any of the F8 daily dungeons (except CS and HM). From there you can choose any dungeon's weapon box, such as the "Locked Dreamsong Weapon Box." I recommend using Hongmoon Brilliant Keys from there because your class weapon is not guaranteed without them. Also, make sure you have already finished the story, which can help you get to GC6. Depending on where you are in the upgrade process, this may be the better option. Just something to consider.
  8. Low level dungeons were removed from the cross server lobby years ago. If you would still like to run them, you will have to enter from their location in the open world (in this case, Viridian Coast). Keep in mind, no one groups for below-cap level (60) content because it is so old and easy, and there is nothing to be gained from running them at level. The story gives you everything you need. If you are interested in farming them for old achievements or cosmetics, I recommend waiting until you are higher and can go back and solo easily.
  9. From the video I linked, it looks like he says the bomb line as you're unlocking the door and before you walk in to talk to him. You should not be using any bombs at all, so throwing is irrelevant. (It looks like you need a target if you do want to throw them tho, but it is not part of the quest.) I am not sure how anything can be obstructing you from walking inside. Can you post a screen shot? This quest has been in the game since launch so I am not sure how it could be broken unless UE4 messed something up.
  10. I saw this old video of Chapter 10. It looks like you need to talk to the npc then escort him to the cages. Does he not let you speak to him while still in the cage?
  11. I'm not sure what part in the story you're at. Are you sure you're supposed to throw anything at all and not just walk up to an interactive object and press F? That's how most cages are opened, though some can even be broken just by attacking them. Edit: Nvm I see your other post where mention the quest. Looks like this one requires the npc to open them for you after you release/talk to him.
  12. It's normally just the left mouse button, like a basic attack.
  13. Reductions for non-raid path- YES PLEASE! NCSoft has shown increasing disdain for those of us who took non-raid path. It used to be a good option for those of us without guilds, but now it has become both less effective and more expensive, which is asinine. During C2A and other reduction events, non-raid is left stranded. Half my characters are stuck on this path. If this option is not going to be viable, just merge the 2 paths and add in a way to grind for the break-through items outside of raids.
  14. There are 14 classes in the game, with 2 or 3 specs each. I have enjoyed every class I have played in its own way, but what you find fun may be different. Do you like to be up close or far away? Do you like supporting others or doing stuff alone? Just watch videos and keep trying them out until you decide for yourself. It is hard to tell what a class is like after only a couple hours at low levels.
  15. I personally recommend Destroyer 3rd spec (Iron Will). Good mobility, strong damage, and great survival. It's probably the easiest class in the game to play and (I think) quite fun as well. You pretty much always try to keep your E (Ironclad) or 3 (Brightforge) up, and you resist a lot of CC just with that. Use your Tab spin (Hurricane) to block if you have to, or C (Shield Aura) to resist big stuff. The cooldown isn't long, and you have a good size HP bar anyway. Just do NOT annoy your party by randomly using sheath (V- Iron Plating), and it's a pretty good time. 🙂
  16. It has not changed. Kangcha is to the left of the Marketplace in Mushin's Tower. Click the tabs in the shop; the third one that looks like a bag and says "General Goods" will have the bracelets listed.
  17. 1. Use the Grand Celestial (GC). It is significantly better than the others (Attack Power is usually a good indicator of which weapon is best). Ascendant is an old, baby pvp weapon, and Rift would need a lot of upgrading to catch up to your GC. So scrap them and keep upgrading the GC. With it, you should be able to do your basic dailies; just be prepared to be stuck at stage 9 for a long time (due to that breakthrough item). 2. The first 3 red quest lines (Raven, Hive Queen, Emperor) have solo versions of the boss fight. After the NPC ports you in, the boss should be fairly easy to solo, so if you're dying you might be using really outdated gear (like the Ascendant weapon) or need some practice with your class. Fortunately, these quests only give you achievements and a few items, so you can always come back and do them later if you aren't able to now. 3. Unfortunately this game requires a lot of different items for upgrading and it's hard to know what all you need now that the equipment progression window is currently unavailable. Any kind of Soulstone, Moonstone, Elysian Orb, Sacred Orb (or their crystal versions) should be kept. Scales and Elements are also needed. Otherwise, without knowing what items specifically, I can't say. But the cost of expanding your inventory is quite cheap now, so I recommend doing that if you haven't. 4. As mentioned, the upgrade tree was disabled with the UE4 patch. Will it return? I don't know, but I hope so. 5. Sadly if you have an older computer or slow internet, this game can be pretty unforgiving. You could try warning your team mates in advance that you're a slow load, but many will probably not want to wait. Koldrak's is an easy daily, but you may have freezing lag there. MSP is also an option. You'll need to find an alliance, but only one load screen to go through then you stay inside. Otherwise, they have taken away most of the content solo-able by low levels.
  18. Sure we're out 2 Pet Packs and 2 Vials but at least they waited 17+ hours to let us know. lol
  19. I find the dungeons to be excruciating. I thought the whole idea of having an easy mode was for it to be soloable, but now there is no soloable content (for non-whales) and everything takes 10x as long. I said the same thing back when they first added in the normal/hard mode system- players should never feel like they're progressing backwards, and this patch does just that. I'm not even sure grinding out C2A is worth it, and I can't do it across multiple characters anyway. No one fresh out of the story would be ready for ANY of these dailies (without C2A); even I feel grossly undergeared and I've been playing for years. Ugh.
  20. I was having this issue too. I uninstalled NC Launcher 2 and downloaded a new one. Make sure you're opening it through the correct icon; mine is a Blue square with NC in it. Using the old red game shortcut continued to cause it to bug out. Mine seems to be downloading the game now, so we'll see if it works.
  21. The Game Over outfit was the winner of a design contest and was given away with the Anniversary Event back in January. So no it is not available and it is very rare to see contest outfits offered again. It's possible they may provide a second opportunity for it, but I wouldn't count on it within the year. But, hey, you never know!
  22. I agree that the entitlement mentality has almost completely destroyed the gaming community, but the only way to improve that is for games to be made that have engaging content, reward players for participating in this content, and eradicate the P2W and welfare systems that encourage laziness over effort. If the game was properly managed, it would attract the right kinds of people and the entitled ones would move on after a couple of months. And having more people to actually run dungeons with would do a lot to alleviate the coma that is sitting in the F8 lobby. But it's true that I have no expectations that NCSoft would ever abandon the shortsightedness of a whale-dependent economy and actually do this.
  23. The attitude of "don't like it, don't do it" is very logical, but it is also why this game has a hemorrhaging playerbase. Letting NCSoft know what we don't like should be seen as helpful. Events should make people want to play more, not burn them out. A larger community would make this game better for everyone, but the current state of B&S (not just events but ALL of it) makes it impossible for me to recommend to people. Which is a shame because the core game is great, it's just squashed under NCSoft's bad management.
  24. I was going to make a whole long post but the core issue is this: Events are supposed to be fun. FUN. Remember that? When was the last time anyone had fun with an event in Blade and Soul? Not that you got something valuable, but that you enjoyed participating in and of itself. Probably never. Events in this game always degenerate into a tedious grind. They become mandatory and are a chore. Normally on MMO's, events are an optional bonus designed to break up the routine. But in B&S, events ARE the routine; one is always running, forcing you onto a never ending treadmill. I feel like I never have time left over to do anything I actually want. Having back-to-back events that require a 5 quest daily challenge in addition to running specific dungeons is miserable. Salvaging 6 souls just to get the two new outfit pieces is ridiculous. I understand making it take awhile to get upgrade mats (oils/pods), but a full event outfit should be easily gotten within a week even for casual players. For those of us with alts and who don't buy gold or bot, the current system for events is and always has been overly slow, grindy, and generally unpleasant. And I don't think it's unreasonable to want a video game to be fun.
  25. I agree with most of this advice but I see no reason to waste your time in Eluvium/Scion's. You should already have the legendary Mystic Badge from running Mushin everyday while getting your Martial Tokens. I also personally see no value in doing Naksun, Yunsang, or Yeoharan regularly. The accessory boxes are stupidly overpriced. I'd just get them from dungeon drops or cores, but I suppose it's personal preference. Autofarm/afk-farm refers to the the specific areas of Ebon Realm and the Primeweald, where the devs in their infinite wisdom added legal botting. I don't do these myself but if you can leave your computer on all night, feel free. I think the Triangle gems from Moon Refuge are more than enough for beginners though. (For the other gems, there's the chance of a Garnet from Koldrak's of course and an Obsidian available for Solar Energy in the Dragon Express.) I'd encourage you not to worry too much about upgrading to be honest. I don't want to discourage you, but this game tends to brutally punish players for trying to progress and only rewards the people at the very top or very bottom. I can't tell you how many times I've worked my butt off for something only to have something better given away for free to others and leave me stuck on a dead end path. Unless you are a very hardcore, endgame-minded player (in which case you will need a guild), I'd suggest you don't stress too much about upgrades and do it as it comes. If you're doing these things mentioned above, you should already be able to run the 4 main weeklies, Koldrak's, Skybreak and Eluvium/Scion's, and any dungeon up through BC, at least (watch guides first of course). Best of luck!
