I also can report that the game is issuing a error saying there are no login rewards. This is getting out of hand. Every other week we're missing out on Mythical Keys and the value of Premium degrades. This needs to be fixed ASAP.

I'm not familiar with Warframe, but odds are there is some sort of maint going on, just they might have some sort of server configuration that lets them briefly bring down portions of it to do what is needed, or the server is more for match making purposes for missions and a lot more happens client side compared to BNS.

That might introduce excessively complexity to how it works. Having a server be there just for maint time would be a huge waste of resources as well for little benefit. Every MMO has maint and that is unlikely to change. Even the big name ones like WoW, FF14, which have dozens of servers to play on, bring them ALL down for their weekly maint. It doesn't matter that patches come out less frequently then weekly for the CLIENT. We don't know how often they update the SERVER, which sometimes has not required a client update but they have mentioned it a few times. They could be installing server side updates every week during maint for all we know. Also this week's maint is just under 3 hours, a massive improvement if they can keep to their estimates. NCSoft also doesn't have a tenth the employees Blizzard has and BNS is very much a 'winding down' project at this point. And it is more then just 'backups', there are a large number of tasks that they do during maint and backups are just one of them. Installing updates on their end is not like how we install things on our PCs, there are multiple different things running on the server at once that can and do need things done to ensure they work.

Google and Amazon are distributed across dozens upon dozens of servers and do what is known as 'rolling maintenance', where they will take down a couple at a time and the remaining handle the work loads while they do whatever tasks are needed to ensure smooth operation and go though them that way. That is not a option for BNS for obvious reasons. Maintenance is more then 'lol they turned the servers off and back on again for NO REASON', a lot of key tasks can only be done when it's not running the game. I imagine at minimum they do a backup of everything, install any patches if there are any (and there has often been server side only updates that didn't need a client update), ensure it boots without problems, ect. As for the time, I do agree 6 PM EST is absolutely absurd. That is when 90% of the people I know get on. But the maint is a key part to the smooth operation of the game. They just need a much better time for it.

If the item in question is still on sale, yet the Battle Pass has ended, then NCSoft is committing a crime. Demand either the costume pass be restarted (with additional time added for this), or full refunds and inform them any refusal of either option will be reported to not only the BBB, but the FTC and other authorities that regulate online businesses.

Since this has not gotten a response from NCSoft, this will be taken as abandonment of the game and thus equal to a end of service announcement.

This change is completely unacceptable. Why should our features be different from KR? They can have custom stuff.

Honestly, you're probably right. Which is deeply unfortunate because after BNS does get closed down, whenever that is, I will never play a NCSoft game ever again. Been burned too many times here. I'm predicting the End of Service announcement by the end of this year.

While I do agree, I feel this isn't the right route. Instead the restoration of lost premium value should be the priority of NCSoft, either by giving back old benefits, or improving existing ones. As is, the current gold situation upsets the F2P players, making them less likely to play, and less likely to pay in the future.

The problem is you only get one key a day if you have premium, so no matter what, you gotta log on for at least 30 minutes every day. This halves gold for F2P players unreasonably so.

This I'd like to know too. Green Storm was active and engaging, whoever we got now...uhh...doesn't seem to exist. It might ease some player concerns if we knew there is someone reading the posts.

Agreed, it is far from a perfect game, but FF14 is quite enjoyable and has tons of content and the communication from the devs is A+. Heck, when they were having trouble with player counts due to Endwalker releasing, instead of being quiet or offering weak 'we're aware of the problem' answers, the producer himself wrote multiple letters detailing what they're trying to do, the actions they'll be taking, and compensated players for their trouble. That is how you run a game. NCSoft could learn much from the example of FF14's team on that front.

Comparing BNS to FF14 is a meaningless comparison. And in the case of FF14, I know my hard earned money is going towards improving the game and making it better each update.

You might be able to get 3 chests that way, but the only way to get a mystic key is with PREMIUM, and being logged in 30 minutes on top of that. Slacking is not a option anymore. Do you believe it is completely reasonable to nerf gold gains for F2P players and require Premium to get something even remotely resembling the gold we were enjoying?

At this point NCSoft must reverse these changes. The damage done to the game has been catastrophic.

Yes it can be. You just need to be in a party. Only TWO dungeons lack difficulty options: Heaven's Mandate and Cold Storage.

I doubt it signals that they're removing or planning to remove the things that show no text. They messed up bad with the file that contains the text.

The Mythical Key is a reward at 30 minutes of login rewards if you are Premium. That hardly is unknown. I do agree with the rest though, these changes are horrible for the game.
