BDO is a unbelievable time sink (in my eyes) but b2p is in my eyes not a reason to compensate for bad connections... so thumbs up for that.

BnS or better said NCsoft west well they should be working on ping time overall, it's hilarious that a Russian illegal beta version has a lower ping then the legal updated version.

They blame most of the time our ISP's or the interconnects to Germany... but  sorry that's not gonna fly anymore.

Premium although I pay and it it's not really a good deal yeah we have discounts, ahead in login que (not needed anymore) wardrobe.

But it's still lacking Premium should have across the Hongmoon store discounts, and more.

Anyways my two cents,

Enjoy your day :)

Nexon, a free to play company that publish even more games than NCsoft, they do compensation for whenever there is a disruption in the service time all be it DDOS attack, extended maintenance or sudden server crash...etc , there is your example.

Seconding the Nexon example here. I have literally inventory pages of cash shop freebies from their compensation handouts. That's not even counting in all the exp boost events and drop boosts.

While speaking of Nexon would you like them running Blade and Soul?

I would, actually. Of course, I say this coming from playing only one of their games. But DN had the best GMs hands down I've ever encountered in my 10~ years of mmo gaming. Lots of community interaction, direct feedback from community managers and GMs alike, ingame and forum events, weekly streams where they actually respond, etc etc.

I spent 800 euros in the game, not how F2P is really.

Live in Europe and play in NA, use ping booster and both EU and NA servers make me Austin and they tell me that the EU is in Frankfurt, lie.

I recently asking  to migrate my data to the server EU that have 500ms

A tell all they know is the fault of your ISP or make a suggestion in the forum.

NCSOFT the only company in the world its products have warranty 0

Use the credit card use in NC is like a black hole.

I'm thinking seriously going to BDO

Oh, should they compensate you because your poor internet disconnected you or your area had a blackout? Really, expecting compensation, especially when its out of their control, is just plain greedy.

Your doubt and lack of faith leads you to take NCSoft for granted, despite the fact they've poured in so much time and effort into adjusting the game and listening to feedback. If you think they've done absolutely nothing, allow me to prove you wrong.

  • Monthly updates.
  • Drastically lessened the amount of hackers/botters over time.
  • Announced, showcased, streamed, and hosted Q&As for upcoming content.
  • Events to help people catch-up to the game.
  • Reverted requested player's equipment to a previous stage.
  • Implemented things that aren't present even in Asia servers.
    • Kept the Siren/Pirate weapon path intact for months.
    • Slapped Asura's Brand Resist on Awakened Oathbreaker Belt
    • Modified the whole Gem Slot system to not downgrade anymore on reaching Silverfrost-tier weapon.
    • Implemented methods to obtain Hongmoon Skills through Arena and Whirlwind Valley.
    • Removed Soulstone Plains Weapon Boxes.
    • Actually increased ways to obtain Moonstones, both directly and indirectly.
      • Nerfed Soulstone Plain field mob's HP, including Terror.
      • Server Merge potentially flushing out more channels, and thus more Konta/Suljun/Grindtooth appearing. You may see this as a flaw, but at least try to have a positive outlook.
      • Added Moonstones to Mushin's Tower Floor 14 and 15.

While speaking of Nexon would you like them running Blade and Soul? Let's look at how much dedication they pour into their own games:

  • Add P2W elements (e.g. Cubing in MapleStory, Reforges in Mabinogi, Break Prevention Stones in Vindictus, etc.).
  • Closed a number of games (e.g. Dungeon Fighter Online)
  • Never really implemented anything based on their playerbase's feedback.
  • Leave hackers/botters roaming about
  • Take nearly an entire year for updates (Mabinogi's last major update spanned nine months between July 2015 and April 2016)

I'll be frank, almost every issue within the game that isn't related to technical difficulties is entirely caused by the community. The whole "Moonstone issue" could have been avoided from the get-go if people took advantage of NCSoft's gifts, hell even quite literally the ENTIRE ASIAN COUNTRY doesn't have a problem with Soulstone Plains because they all agreed to split fairly between factions and mind their own business, but instead NA/EU became greedy, stubborn, and selfish and decided to misuse the gift and cause havoc among each other.

I agree with you +1,

It would not hurt NCsoft reputation however if NCsoft did implement some "free" stuff for a long maintenance / server problems, I have yet to experience such problems since I have personally dced only one time in blade and soul, but I know other players have such issues.

For example if after a long maint or server problems, a customer finally logs on and you get a mail with a message like the original poster of lets say "one hongmonn soup for exp" this would make that customer happy or a little less frustrated and gain NCsoft more respect  as a company and the player would feel like they care or would be like "one hongmoon soup, not worth" but w/e lol

its like when a major store shuts down, they at least say something like "sorry for the inconvence" they may or may not offer anything in return but its a benefit if they do.... 1 hongmoon soup free to each player after a Major Unscheduled Maintence or big server problem would not break ncsoft and is a good thing i think.

p.s. I have not experienced any maint/server problems, so im happy :P

That sounds like NA. Always shooting itself in the foot and then blaming others for letting them have the gun in the first place. lol

No, NCSoft isnt responsible for players trying to sell them cheaper, but they ARE responsible for the high price of moonstones. If u found a lump of gold in rl, would u sell it for a low price just te be friendly? Or would u try to get the most out of it? Dont blame the community, blame the ones on top for the high prices..

NCsoft is not responsible for the players greed, what sort of nonsense are you spewing. Not everyone finding gold is going to allow greed to define them. You the player are responsible for your own actions. You want to destroy the economy because you are greedy, that is all on you. That is not the fault of NCSOFT. That is like saying a casino is responsible for your gambling addiction or a liquor store is the one to blame for your alcohol addiction. Nobody stuck a gun to your head and forced you to gamble or drink, just like nobody forced you to sell the items over priced. It was all your choice, it is all your (Not literally you, namely the player base) fault.

You can stand around and ask NCSOFT to help dig your sorry little greedy behind out of this mess, but it surely isn't anyones fault the community is in this mess except the community.

This is why I HATE AH. I personally don't tend to follow the price of OP players, but when working with AH you sort of are pushed to do so because you can't control who you sell to. In most cases you end up selling your lower priced item to someone just looking to resell it. When players had player shops I was able to do business with certain people I choose to do business with, thus allowing for the greedy market to crash and burn, while providing a safe haven of reasonably priced items to a few players in need.  With AH, can't do none of that.

I agree with the spirit in which your post was made. NC Soft actually does try to keep on top of the game's issues, even if not everything they do bring the desired result. For the efforts they should imo be commended. IMO if they keep up with trying to be flexible and evolving the solutions to the cropping up problems it is more important than the one-time hand-outs when things went wrong.
