  1. This applies to anywhere in the game, you may as well just set it permanently to 1 if you have low fps. They probably aren't bugged but could use a bit of optimisation.
  2. It's being put back in, Hime confirmed it here. Don't know when but she said it's a priority so hopefully soon. It would take minutes for one person to do, but it's NCSoft we're talking about. Hime is doing a good job with the community and getting our concerns heard since ue4 though - let's trust that she'll get it sorted for us quickly.
  3. 1660 Ti over here, game still runs like garbage, and windwalk in the air is broken for me, it motion blurs (with motion blur not ticked in graphics settings) and everything slows down and stutters while doing it.
  4. They've been removed while they are reworked. A new gearing system is being implemented, and mythic dungeons will drop gear that don't need feeding materials to get to stage 9, they'll just be a complete item as is.
  5. The calls for xinput (the api that handles xbox controllers) have not changed at all. Literally all NCSoft needed to do was copy and paste the handler then rewrite a few of the ue3 game lines to ue4. It honestly would have taken 10 minutes if that - UE4 even has native support for it and it takes a few minutes to setup even without doing the former. I was really disappointed in finding out controller support had been removed too, and I honestly wasn't expecting it to blow up like this. They removed core functionality of a game that had it for years, it's really dumb to remove such a function. While we wait for any kind of update or resolution to this from NCWest, i've been using a program called antimicro, you can program it to work in the exact same way as old controller support - it converts your controller buttons to keyboard maps. The problem with using 3rd party apps though, is that they could get us banned, especially if xigncode anticheat is ever re-activated and there are always instances where things just don't work as they should, as opposed to inbuilt controller support. Hoping that @Hime can sort this out with the devs asap. It's interesting that the ui and sticks still work if your last setup was with a gamepad in ue3. It suggests the functionality is still there. I would suggest one thing: Don't change any settings if you still have the gamepad ui and you can move around, instead, copy "xinput1_3.dll" from "/windows/system32" and paste it into "BNSR/Binaries/Win64" then restart the game and see if the old keybindings work. If that doesn't work, try it again with "xinput1_4.dll". Doing that might let you use the old controller keybindings as well as look around and move. If you've already lost the ui and the sticks won't do anything in-game then this has no chance of working. Other than that, it's out of our hands.
  6. It's a problem with the game's design, mostly as a direct result of its p2w model. It is designed for you to not progress unless you pay to do so, and to inhibit any progress you can make without paying, with artificial barriers that waste your time and further lengthen the time taken for progression. The reason you are at Thornbreaker 9 is of no fault of new players or lazy players, it is simply because you have not paid enough money to progress further at a sufficient speed that would put you ahead of or on par with the latest content. Your options are: 1. Spend more money to upgrade your gear faster 2. Wait for the Soul Pass subscription-type model 3. Play another game
  7. The client is around 60GB, but the unpacking/decompressing process requires an extra 100GB, so you need about 160GB free space in total for it to download and install.
  8. During the livestream @Hime highlighted "a new menu as part of this unreal engine 4 update" which read "no text" and Hime clarified as being localised to "buff icons" - it looked to be settings for the new combat ui. The breaker gauge was also shown during the livestream on the Training Dummy in the Hongmoon Training Room. However, the website states that both these features, the new combat ui and breaker systems, release in November. I'd like a bit of clarity on this as I might simply be confused. tldr; Hime says new combat ui in UE4 update on September 8th, website says November. Combat UI: Breaker Gauge: Website:
  9. Jonathan was respected because he communicated well and interacted directly with the community rather than the passive way in which Hime does, and it wasn't even his job, he wasn't a community manager. It's not that Hime knows virtually nothing, it's that she outright ignores the community and whatever work (word processing) in the background she is doing is completely passive for the most part. In my opinion, she is supposed to be out here, at the front line, with us, communicating with us, no matter how toxic some players may be - she is supposed to do what Jonathan was doing. She is senior community manager, yet literally every single question asked in chat during the stream was ignored, and the only time she even addressed the chat during the stream was to state that she wasn't playing on a laptop. Everybody thought it was pre-recorded because the audience was not acknowledged at any time, and it defeated the point in doing it live. All she needs to do is be honest and say she does not have or know the answer, or that she will look into it or provide the answer at a future date, she doesn't though, she just ignores everything and hopes it will disappear, but it doesn't. Now there is built up resentment and animosity toward her from the community, and it is honestly her own fault. Liinxy did the same thing and the community did not take kindly to it. I don't know Hime, and i'm sure she's a fantastic human being, but she just doesn't communicate well as a community manager and doesn't seem to be particularly involved within the community at all. I was really looking forward to return for UE4, as i'm sure many others were (and still are), but man, NCWest is a constant disappointment. 6 days to UE4 and the pinned thread that asks for our questions, posted on August 24th by Rynara, still hasn't been addressed, and it's pinned! It's madness the way this company functions. In 6 days we'll have the answers when UE4 drops, and it begs the question as to what the purpose of the thread ever was.
  10. The whole reason the game is tedious and frustrating is deliberate by design to encourage customers to pay for progress. It's your money, spend it however you like. However, you're contributing to a perpetual cycle of garbage game design. Hopefully we still get the optional Soul Pass subscription-type model this year as it fixes an inherently flawed game design that is a direct result of the p2w model. It's mentioned on their Revival page but it wasn't on the stream so who knows anymore. As for the stream itself, it was disappointing to say the least. There was no clear outline of what will and what will not be included in the UE4 update, and no mention of the update in November. We don't really know how or if class skill changes have been made, or if party buffs have been removed. We didn't see any kind of actual dungeon run, it was just gm characters in undetectable mode and the dungeon difficulty changes were not discussed. We don't know when we're getting the story update. We don't know when we're getting mythic dungeons. We don't know what general rewards or systems have changed throughout the game. We don't know how the ui has changed. We don't know if gamepad support is there. We have no idea about performance. They should have gone over all of the points on the Revival website and clearly outlined what we should expect and how the game will change over the next few months, with a roadmap, but instead we got nothing really. We got: UE4 Dual Blades Treasure Trove Call to Arms Forest of Echoes That's basically the whole stream for 1hr 40 mins, it's really just UE4 and a new class. None of the major changes from KR are happening yet apparently.
  11. Quite true, and it's unfortunate because it is an opportunity for the game to come back from the dead. Their constant changes and delays affect public opinion and perception of the company, mostly in ways that are negative to its image, leading to a loss of trust in the brand and corporation and decreasing sustainability of the product. They have until September 8th to really get themselves on track in regard to both their general operation and team cohesion, as well as making the game more accessible in a number of ways. Once UE4 drops on September 8th, it's in the players' hands. I am optimistic and look forward to returning, and hope they ramp up cosmetics as an incentive to support them financially. I'm no gambling addict and trove-like events don't interest me in the slightest. More cosmetics, less virtual casino. It would be great if they put up boxes in the store with every cosmetic available since release date, including in-game cosmetics. And if this new soul pass/boost system is any good and moves away from the p2w model, then i'll gladly pay for it.
  12. I would also like confirmation of gamepad mode in UE4, we're a small community but it is the only way we play. Additionally, it would be nice to know what equipment will be rewarded through Act 11 Chapter 7 - 14. Also, please go over the details of what kind of event or battle pass like system we'll be getting on September 8th.
