Only seems plausible because the Archer release will likely reel in new players, and those new players who are ignorant to Trove's mechanics will likely spend.

Yeah, pretty much. The game's Pay-to-Win, so there's no denying that. If NCSOFT makes money, they're happy, no matter how anti-consumer their policies are and how much we suffer in the end.
