Question about transmuting gems

Under the tab where you place the 3 AP gems to upgrade it to the next stage it says, ''place an item manually to improve chance to critically transmute'' or something along those lines, does this mean the transmute can fail and you lose all 3 gems? lol

i have 3 flawless rubys and i wanna make a brilliant heptagonal 1, do i just need the materials and it will 100% upgrade??

also, where are the best places to farm radiant energy? guess il farm cold storage for the crystals

Yes it works 100% of the time as already answered. What you are reading says "critical",, like increase your chance to get 2x or something like that.

Alright thanks, but the materials seem rather hard to get, guess il farm cold storage for the crystals, what about radiant energy? cost 17G each on market and i need 40 lol.

GL farming CS.. I have never seen one drop. And I've seen it 3 times from merchant.

Through events like merchant of wonders or throwing lots of money at ncsoft.

dont think merchant drops radiant energy never seen it and need 40..

Radiant energy is best to farm from lvl 50 blue dungeons. Not frequent but I've seen them drop from there a lot.
