Starting FM class. Any advices?

Hello fellow forcemasters, I'm kind of new to the game and I was wondering if you more expert players could share some basic combat informations with a newb. I plan to only do PvE for the moment, maybe some PvP in the future, if I become good at it.

Get good at kiting and dodging. Try to look up some builds and experiment with your own. Personally, I'm still learning FM (only 44 atm, should be 45 before I go to bed), so I have my build a bit more on the defensive side with life steals and other ways to heal and avoid damage. I try to just burst down enemies as quickly as possible and heal up when needed with potions, food, or skills, whenever possible. Be sure to switch between AoE and ST specs when leveling - I've been in ST when I need AoE and stuff got awkward fast...

I'm sure more experienced FMs could answer better, but just go around this forum, maybe look up some youtube videos and look on BnS Dojo, there are some pretty good guides/advice/builds on there.

Yeah, avoid Mushin's Temple floor 7 like a plaque.

um.. depends on what lvl you are.

Learn your lmb-rmb animation cancel and you're golden.  

• Three stacks of the chill debuff will freeze the target in place. 
• Ice skills add great survivability and some nifty utility.
• Fire skills hit like a truck.
• Add skill points to make your Fire (X) instant cast.
• Q,E dodges are better than expected.

Start with ice build with more life regen and survival, than change to top dps fire burn build at higher levels.

Wow thanks everyone! You gave me a lot of useful tips here. This is like my first pc game ever so I'm very inexperienced with fighting/quick use of keyboard and so on but I hope I can figure things out with your advice.

Looks ok to me. Dont wory too much about builds during leveling, u will get to it once hit max level or late game.
