Unbalanced Faction

Being on poharan, The faction is very unbalanced. Crimison legeion and everyone is just joining cerulean even though its full. All you have to do is click join and your in. I'm wonder if there will be a fix to this or an unbalance in population. Because when in misty woods, Crimison cant do anything because they get zerged. I'm just wondering if this will be fixed or the issue will be addressed by Ncsoft. So please and thank you for reading this post. I'm just wondering if there will be fixes to this in the future patches. Because people in the crimison faction cant do anything in pvp wise, and Cerulean have all the mobs on farm because they can just swarm them. This really affects progression on players. So your seeing one Faction getting stronger in progression, while the other faction is just farmed.

Can't really fix an imbalance like this, lord knows people have tried.

Only way is to reduce loot for the larger faction by a % until they get NOTHING when they outnumber the others by 25% but that would cause an uproar and many waambulences would be called.

ncsoft has never been good to fix balanced issue in faction terms honestly this will be a repeat of the story on their other game called aion where azmodan people where just destroying and farming elyos people outside of that 1 keep and yaaa it will be the same story all over again hahaha it was like a 10 azmo to 1 elyos ratio at one point lmao you literally had to hide during pvp time or get destroyed by 10000000000000 people wich is what crimson currently have to do basically since most channel are swarmed by people trying to farm the world bosses or doing dailies

So your suggestion to this "unbalance" is to punish the more popular faction on the server? Sounds like you should stick to your day job.  OWPvP is not a large part of this game - it was never intended to be.  What they need to do is put soulstones on PvE dailies too - then the issue is moot because lets be honest, NA/EU "PvP is basically players who want to A) gank or B) overwelm the weaker faction.  The only reason there is any PvP at all is for PvE - most players would completely ignore faction stuff except the world bosses if it were not for soulstones. Real PvP'ers like Arena where things are at least in theory to be in a balanced state.

There's already a system to "balance" by limiting what factions people can and can't join when the numbers are a certain way. It'll never be able to take into account how many people on a certain faction actually play, or how many participate in the faction quests, or how many like PvP and only joined it at the prompt from the main quests. There's no real way to fix it. Most of the time, in most games, a server will always have a "stronger" faction. It varies by server. You can switch factions if you don't want to be on the underdog side, or stick thru it. It's just what open PvP is

Aion incentivized the non-dominant faction by giving them exclusive rewards to make progression a bit easier.  Positive reinforcement is always the way to go - your suggestion would do more harm than anything.  In this case, nothing is needed - the game has a built in balance mechanic...NcSoft can't and shouldn't need to do much more than that..this is a player issue not a game design issue.  The only flaw in game design I see is it is too easy to switch factions.
