About SkyStorm

  1. If you want to chill, and I mean really chill, shut down bns and play another game (I spend most of my game time in gw2 at present), watch a movie, go for a walk, or find something else to do, otherwise bns will sterilizing you while masquerading as a brain-melting virus.
  2. Improving my specs to make game smooth on Ultra

Trying to max performance and quality at the same time is pointless. There's always a trade-off, and maxing one is going to make the other suffer, up to the limit of the physical technology. Throw a lot of expensive hardware at it and you might get great fps on ultra settings, otherwise it's a waste of time.
  3. Can we get our old DC back?

DC = Daily Chores. I can only play (stand to play) about an hour a day. The changes to DC take too long for me to finish on all of my alts. So yeah, I want the easier (less time consuming) DC back too.
  4. How do I start this game with my graphics card?

If you don't have integrated graphics then the gtx card will be used by default. Otherwise you can either disable your integrated gpu with device manager, or set the gtx card as the default with nvidia control panel.
  5. i want to play

You can't run the 64-bit client on a 32-bit OS.
  6. Yes, they must do this, there is no other solution. If they don't do this, and only this, it proves they don't care about fair pvp. </sarcasm>
  7. G-rated forum for an M-rated game could be part of the problem. Or not. There's always subreddit, if you don't mind being downvoted for expressing an honest opinion.
  8. unreal 4 pc and consoles

I'm not an expert on UE4, but I've read nothing that supports this statement. I've heard that most of the UE4 API is locked to a single thread, and calling functions from other threads will crash the engine. Also, the game logic cannot be multithreaded except for simple asynchronous calls that use a copy of the game data and can only return a single value. Some of the limitations probably exist because DX9 requires all rendering to be done on the primary thread; moving to DX11/12 may provide some inherent improvements, but a game engine is/should abstract that away and provide a consistent interface, which means either going to the lowest common denominator or layering additional functionality onto DX9. As far as my comment about consoles, as a player I'd want reassurances that a dedicated gaming device and general purpose pc are going to play well on the same server. My concern isn't cheating, so I shouldn't have mentioned xigncode. I believe that most games separate consoles and pc's onto different servers, whether it's for real disparities or perceived ones.
  9. So you need to spend a couple of weeks farming draken cores. In the overall context of things, that's not much of a sticking point. I, and probably everyone else, has been stuck on something that took substantially longer, at some time or another.
  10. [SUGGESTIONS] For the Future of B&S

BNS has no future. I expect that NCSoft will pull the plug in the next 1-2 years and reallocate Team Bloodlust to more profitable endeavors. I understand that mobile games are the big money makers right now (why in the heck you'd want to play this genre of game on a mobile platform is beyond my comprehension).
  11. unreal 4 pc and consoles

Those of you waiting for UE4 are going to be sadly disappointed when it is released. All of the "pro"s for UE4 are changes to make things easier for the developer and a few new rendering techniques. Visually, the game may be prettier, but the problems that exist now will still exist when the game's ported. UE4 is essentially UE3 with a better development interface. Consoles that share servers with PCs is extremely unlikely unless there's an xigncode that runs on consoles (too lazy and disinterested to check).
  12. Two Game Crash and Game FPS Cap Lowers

The gpu utilization doesn't mean a thing. A video card is a multi-purpose device and some more labor intensive operations are never going to performed in a game. You'll never see that the gpu utilization at 100% unless your running benchmarks or doing data mining on the gpu. There are two types of gpu utilization; power and capacity. You're gpu can be utilizing power at 100% while only at 50% capacity, or vice versa. In any event, comparing cpu usage to gpu usage is apples to oranges.
  13. 32 bit memory clearing?

I'd suggest you figure out why the game crashes rather than looking for band aids, or at least do something effective like updating your video drivers, making sure the fth hasn't inserted a shim, run a memory test, disable bluetooth, disable your internal gpu, blah blah blah. There's no such thing as a memory cleaner, and products that claim to do it just allocate memory and free it again, hoping that it will reload in a contiguous physical space.
  14. Client side infos and ping

No, I mean the servers are physically located in Dallas. Or so I've been told; I've never been there and am not an expert on common knowledge, but I lived in Austin most of my life and am pretty sure the servers aren't there.
  15. Client side infos and ping

Is it common knowledge that the BNS servers are in Dallas, not Austin?
