Yup, Another complaining topic. So, Why even such important events like Esport Tournaments have to be broken? Just why NCsoft Team?

Why you organisate it, without even think before? Without counting few MAJORITY things about which people complained dozens times...

Here is a list of Reasons (in my opinion) why qualifications are NOT Fair:

- Qualifications rely on players rank in game - which are manipulated by few top players who boosting own alts, or other people mains who paid them.

- Bugs and Unstable Game Client - Players often losing matches by bugs or bug exploit abusers. Additionally the Lobby bug causing 5-30 penalty to enter, lowering chance to reach higher ranks as well.

- Unstable servers - There are days where PvP servers lags/disconnects causing 60 rank points lose each time + penalty to enter after dc for 5-30 minutes.

- Ping to server - If you really calling this "sport", then let it be "sports behavior"... So in other words - Able to Qualify should rely on Players Skills. Not Ping.
Qualifications should be organisated - via LAN connection.

Because Players in such Qualifications would be controlled, so they wouldn't able to cheat in any way.

- Cheaters/Hacks - A lot of people don't know, but there are still hacks and even bots in game. Even if there is no working hacking tool to the game currently, it doesn't mean people can't still cheat.
They indeed can, by modificating game files. Example bellow:

... and because NCsoft decided to use one of most retarded game hack shields - the Xigncode... then by latest days it seems become even easier...

Thank you for wasting my chance in taking part in it. Seems since so called "Rumble of Realms" started nothing much changed.

Regards.

P.S. I hope at least you managed to qualify Sarpoh and I will see you in tournament. ;3

Doing extensive qualifiers exclusively with offline tournaments is bad for a lot of reasons:

- very costly for NCWest

- unfair for people who cannot afford travel to the venue due to low income

- unfair for people who cannot afford travel to the venue due to living far away

- Too time consuming, we are already on a tight schedule to make it in time for worlds

Really, there is very little incentive for people to "hack" or cheat their way into the invitationals, because those will be offline tournaments and if they have no real PvP skills they will just fail there.

All in all I think they did a very good compromise of the ideal and the feasible, plus they are keeping the system very close to how the qualification is done in Korea as well.

And by the way "boosting" your own alt is specifically allowed as a way to qualify. As flexibility in class choice is very valuable in the new format, it is and should be encouraged even. :P

If they can't afford to travel, then they shouldn't even take part in tournament, since Finals won't be organisated in villages of each participant - because as you said: " very costly for NCWest ".

Doesn't matter. Regardless that, they still had higher chance to take part in tournament. Also, seems you don't play often pvp or didn't care about tournaments latest time because now Tournaments are not only 1vs1 but tags as well. And in tag you don't need so much skills for aerial combo kill - a ka: Asist > Shield > Burst in air.

Also it is clear manipulation of tournament, because if lets say 6 top players boosted all the other participants, then in this case they are on winning position - because in this way they lowered amount of potential serious opponents for self.

So if in lets say: top 30 will be 30 characters boosted by 3 top players, so these mean each of them will join tournament 10 times? Did you even consider before writing here?

Where? Where is written in rules it is allowed? Where is written multi characters/accounts can... acumulate? Fighting Points, which causes lowering amount of Points for the real participants?

There is no point in signing up for tournaments when you are playing with 150+ ms because you can't climb up the ladder due to your ping. It is limited to the players who have good ping and most likely they used ping killer or used XML editor.

In order to pick the legit skillful players to represent NA/EU server, they should have local tournaments at specific locations with provided hard-wares and internet. Then, ping/cheats will not be an issue anymore. In terms of the traveling costs, it will be player's own expense because if the player win the tournaments, the player get the price with certain amount of money. (it is not like the price will go to the company.) No paid = no gain?

Well since there is a fact that esport is proved to be an improving market with a considerable profit in it. So the organizer of the tournament should pay for the travel and staying costs. Since we consider top players are joining this tournament they deserve this and also for this I think there can be a private server which only competents may join and compete for a certain period to eliminate the numbers. Yet if you support other alternatives, I say it will and it is still be looked as whale friendly.

Read the FAQ properly. NCWest is covering costs for Regional and Worlds, that's huge. Players only have to pay for the invitational or Wildcard instead of every little qualification tournament, and they can do that with the confidence that they are competitive.

If you had a proper look at Koreas regionals recently you would know that tag has become much more fast paced and vicious compared to last year's worlds and even fast reaction and better situational awareness are required to capitalize on an assist. Aerials are not when the mistakes happen, they are the result of the mistakes. <_<

Only the character with the highest ranking will be considered for the calculation of fighting points. The others will just be taken out of the analysis.

Q: Do Fighting Points get earned only on my  representative character?

No. Fighting Points are earned on your highest ranked character on your account for each of the 1v1 and 3v3 ladders.

@Shuchin I read it, instead of you.

If you quote something, at least read it before posting.

vOt8Yd7.png

Key words: "YOUR", "CHARACTER" and "ACCOUNT".

- Which means only your account, not someone else.
- Your highest ranked character - not all characters which you possess in ranking.
- ...and "Account", which is aslo SINGULAR.

Unless you don't see a difference between Singular and Plural...

Hi there - we have adopted both online and offline methods to qualify for the Regionals. In-game rank is merely one component of the qualification process. If you look at the Fighting Point distribution, there is greater emphasis on performance in both the Invitationals and the Wildcard tournament than on the in-game rankings.

The winner of our Wildcard tournament - an offline, LAN-type tournament - gets an automatic qualification to Regionals.

While I welcome any feedback on the efficacy of the qualification process, it is more helpful if the feedback was of a scenario or set of scenarios that have happened or would realistically occur.

Any details on the Invitationals and the Wildcard tournament?

What are the differences between them? Also, where will Wildcard tournament be held?

Wildcard information will be released very soon!

Invitationals are after the close of each Season. Season One finishes on June 14 with the close of the in-game PvP season. We will be inviting the 12 teams who have earned the most Fighting Points for the Season to compete in the Invitational
