Surprise Gift HM skill not working in arenas?

I have the HM surprise gift that's supposed to do an instant knockdown but I haven't seen that effect happening.  I always end up having to double tap V.

Surprise gift HM is not supposed to instant knockdown. You still have to detonate it.

 

The effect of the HM skill is just double knockdown which is only used in PvE to knockdown bosses with V alone.

Yeah on bnstree it says applies double knockdown.  But my skill icon says applies instant knockdown so there is some confusion there.

Bomb automatically applies a knockdown itself. the HM skill lets it apply and instant second knockdown. The translation isnt the greatest.
