  1. People against anti-cheat are using Cheat Engine to speed hack, fly hack and remove GCD giving them a large advantage over players who desire anti-cheat in the game. GM's have no way of catching players abusing Terms of Service with Cheat Engine so these players are selling Shimmering Scale runs for their own profit. The only people against the anti-cheat being put in place (like it was years ago) are people currently using Cheat Engine. There are quality of life benefits by not having anti-cheat system implemented; however, the insanely large advantage that Cheat Engine gives over legitimate players is unfair and highly breaks Terms of Service. There shouldn't be a slap on the wrist ban either for cheating like there was last Challenge Mode season. It should be permanent IP and HWID ban.
  2. It looks like Assassin's will still be overpowered with their C iframe still being unstoppable to cap Beluga Horns. We needed 08/04 skill patch to be released to fix a lot of the class imbalances in this game. Russian region even fixed the C iframe fix individually because they noticed the issue, now Assassin's will still be terrorizing battlegrounds until November since our skill patches are so behind. I was really hopeful for UE4 release to be fixing a lot of the current skill imbalances, but it looks like they'll still exist and I'm worried for the current and new players coming back to touch the game and realize it's the same developer and quit like they did before. When can we expect KR skill patch 08/04 to hit NA/EU? This is crucial and I'm hoping not to have the entire player base waiting until November.
  3. #23734970 You will find a very detailed ticket with team names, player names, clan names of all associated players, time stamps. This same ticket is being copy and pasted to the Blade & Soul community to be sent in repeatedly. Every single player in this community knows about the super jump .xml file edit and the Cheat Engine speed hack/lock height and that NC Support will not punish these players accordingly. They use these abilities to jump multiple times during the phase window to get multiple orbs that are unobtainable through legitimate means.
  4. If you currently check North American rankings, there are players that have time stamps of their games around 3:49 PM CST. These are players who are win trading early in the afternoon before anyone logs on. They multiclient about 6 characters and get others to do the same and win trade to a higher ranking. If you make queue times later, for example, peak 6s battleground queue time is at 8:30 PM CST, it would fix this issue of win traders. Also, please fix win trading in arena. It's impossible to get to 2000+ and you see players at that rank near season conclusion all the time. Thanks.
  5. We got Korea's enhancement system boys. 7 Eth Vials per attempt. If you fail, it goes into the %, and get a pity system, guaranteed upgrade after. Good luck to us all. This was the RNG we were afraid of, next step is soul/heart/talisman/pet upgrading based off probability.
  6. Suggestions for producer of Blade and Soul and NC West team: A. Give us the Korean client. We no longer have a desire to have our own NA client as we can not continue playing this game without modding the client infinitely to obtain better FPS and smoother gameplay. The vanilla client as it stands at the moment is giving us 15 fps in combat with all graphics turned down and on Low end PC mode. Hopefully with UE4 around the corner, we will have the Korean client so that we will no longer have this unoptimized client with stutters, freezes, and delays in fixing even the smallest issues. Issues that have plagued the game for the past 5 years are still stagnant and unfixed, with players reporting most of the issues and NC Support Team knowing absolutely nothing about these pressing issues along with not even playing their own game to test out basic functionality. B. UE4 will not bring your player base back. Your population and profits according to the last financial report that NCSOFT released is dwindling. You need to find a way to ease newer players in while giving experienced players a less pay to progress system. The RNG factor of obtaining gear, enhancements, upgrades is NOT the system the West enjoys. It might have worked in Asia, but NA/EU dislike the system altogether. C. GM Support - Unfair practices, zero competency, and no accountability makes the “support” team useless. A group of players getting banned for account boosting, account sharing but another group of players have zero punishment in the past year of being reported. Ability to refund/restore items if you pay money vs. if you are free to play. Instant account/ladder bans if you are free to play vs. zero punishment towards players who pay. Account bans should be given for account boosting with zero tolerance. I ask that the NC Soft Support Team is investigated internally for the bans that are given out and who is gaining favoritism and punishment is being forgiven. There is no consistency with the bans given out, and even with sufficient proof, these players are ignored because they spend a significant amount of money. If you want your population to eventually die out, keep doing what you’re doing. D. Balance - The trifecta of classes for PvP is Force Master, Destroyer, and Assassin. These classes are top performing to the point where gear is not necessary, skill is definitely not necessary, and the class kit itself breaks the entire game mode of any PvP, be it, arena or battlegrounds. Force Master has been nerfed 6-7 times and still performs outstanding. Why does this class have CC immunity for 8 seconds on a 30 second cool down? Why is this class able to eliminate entire parties by holding down a macro with literally no answer from the other team or inability to respond? Assassin has no punishment for making mistakes. They have infinite stealth windows with “30%” evasion in stealth, and no global cool down on stealth. If they choose to go into stealth, the next duration should be halved, and the next duration in a certain amount of time should be halved again. Assassin completely breaks the game mode for Beluga Lagoon. Their C iframe makes it impossible for them to get interrupted while capturing the horn except if you have a Shadow destroyer to pierce through a standing iframe. Assassin stealth moves faster than a character out of combat sprinting. How does this make sense? Also, aerial + ultimate, defense/parry piercing CC’s and amount of CC’s for destroyer and assassin are insanely uncounterable. These 3 classes can make every single mistake and still remain unpunished for their mistakes because they have so much in their kit compared to other classes. Destroyer has so much sustain and CC immunity that even 6 players can not kill a destroyer. No class should be able to sustain this while being able to kill players. As I pointed out in my first post, why did Korea end up buffing destroyers damage by literally 2x? The classes that didn’t need changes got buffs, and the classes that desperately need changes got nothing. E. Cheating - If a cheat is reported, I understand you need to investigate. However, speed hacking in its basic function is the easiest to tell and with video evidence should be an instantaneous ban. How many players have been reported and yet they continue to play this game? Glide hacking, speed hacking, etc. exist and even with proof, these players roam around like nothing has happened. Do you know why? Their wallets prevent them from receiving punishment and if you would rather have those players who quit in the long run and will make more players leave, then by all means, keep catering to the rich. I do wonder if the community moderators read this out and bring it up to the producer. Honestly, with the game population as poor as it is, I would think for the first time in 6 years, they would listen to what the community is interested in and why the game is not succeeding as it should. This game could be so great, but the practices of NC West have been inconsistent, unfair, and lacking.
  7. Hi, I’ve played this game for 5 years, and I believe these issues or improvements will help stabilize/grow the player base. Positives: Fast Action-Paced MMORPG that is not offered anywhere else. I will say it from release and now; you won’t find any game that is as fast paced with the unique fighting style as Blade and Soul. This is perhaps the only true redemption that this game has, as over the years, the production and development team has increasingly lost players due to poor decision making which I will elaborate on later. Graphics / Vanity - Not many games can compete with Blade and Soul’s unique ... plot and style of fashion and character creation. This will be renewed with UE4 release, as many of you know who watched Frontier, were thoroughly impressed by character creation and environment. UE4 will be nice to look at; however, prepare your PC’s. If you think we have it bad now, you will need to upgrade your computers to run UE4. Hopefully they’ve resolved the 1 core processor and made it more GPU based for optimization, but until then, we’ve suffered for 5 years and we should not have done so. There is no excuse for a publisher to have delayed this long, nor NA to desire their own client but have so many problematic circumstances. Free to Play - Everything can be obtained by time. If by time, you mean 15 years. I am not joking, this number is what it will take for a new player to grind 8 hours a day to get max geared. This is not considering the new pentagonal pet gems that were released. They give us 4 pet pods and 4 sacred vials a week, but they should have done this a couple years ago. PvE - Mechanics in this game are entertaining and finding a group of players to play with is somewhat challenging for a new player. If you ever need to join a group of competent minded individuals, join the appropriate discord’s (again ask in faction chat) for consistent hard mode parties. These are the criticisms of many of the players over the years and I hope that the forum moderators will consider this as a coffee chat and not as an attack to ensure that improvements are made. We, as a community, would not have gone through as much effort for this list if we did not care for the positive outcome for possible improvement of the current state of the game. Negatives: Optimization issues - The game has to be modded by third party programs to be playable in raids. Eliminating world lights, removing heart/talisman/soul/unity effects, NVIDIA optimizations, eliminating text on tool tips, removing user interface. If you do not have these modifications, you will be running at 15 FPS in raid with characters off. If any new players are interested in starting, please seek out in faction chat the appropriate Discord’s that will allow you to get a much better enjoyable frame rate as the vanilla client will prevent you from reaching your efficiency and competitive DPS and performance. RNG upgrades - With the release of fusion stones, enhancing gear is a probability. You have to live with the fact that you may never get +11 and that it is locked behind PvP 6s battlegrounds. For PvE players, this is an improbability unless you want to leave your PC on overnight, every night, for the next 3 years. Although we don’t have it as worse as Korea, we are slowly getting to that point with mythical/awakened mythical splendor (unity stones). They will be fully RNG and all the stones you spent rerolling your legendaries which KR had for 1.5 years (btw being 1.5 years behind Korea is unacceptable), will now need to be upgraded and will be spending 50-150 Ethereal Vials to do so. It’s not a minor inconvenience, it is a large wall that will make more of the dwindling population leave. In Korea, you were able to pick the stat of your stones and it was not blocked by 2 RNG walls. Do you know how many stones people rerolled to get the stat they wanted for Ascension and how much it cost? When Jonathan left, that was the change from slightly pay to progress to MUST pay to progress (or grind 8 hours a day for 15 years). Balance PvE - There are extremely large gaps in max geared classes and their specializations. This is an issue that needs to be sent to Korea, as they have already attempted to balance specializations and have failed. The difference between each and every specialization of each class differs from each other as well as the comparison to other classes. Max geared 3rd spec BD’s are the top of the food chain, 20% higher than the next SF and 3rd spec FM. 20% is a LARGE gap as the lower tier classes are 50% behind or require cheating/modifications to even be 50%. Some specializations are even 70% behind the top tier class at the moment. Other classes are restricted to being immobile while certain classes can maintain their burst/sustain while being mobile and invulnerable through iframes. Earth summoner must XML edit (cheating) sunflower/super sunflower to be going on at the same time to be viable; don’t play wind in PvE. Shadow gunner must GCD edit (cheating) to be viable; fire gunner immobility cancels out burst in upcoming meta PvE. 3rd spec FM has 30% uptime on invulnerability while having one of the highest sustain. 3rd spec BD has highest burst/sustain while having numerous iframes. I could go on, but there are parses in Korea that have differences in the extreme. You could argue that the classes have different rolls. Okay, party iframes, TD, SB, mobility. Why do some classes have all of these and other classes have none of the other? If you are a new player, I suggest asking for advice on which character classes to start. The OP classes that are currently high end game viable that perform well in PvE and PvP: Assassin, Force Master, Destroyer. Blade Dancer, Warden, Summoner, Soul Fighter, Astromancer. Warlock. I didn’t forget any classes. Balance PvP - If you watch any Twitch streams, which I imagine producers/developers don’t even bother to care what the community cares about, you will notice that most of the viewers are watching PvP oriented streams when new content is done with. Why is NA/EU the only region with the 25% damage reduction buff? This buff should be removed as it makes Force Masters (passive damage reduction stacking in storm mode with the battleground buff), and Destroyers (passive damage reduction), Blade Dancers (passive damage reduction), unkillable. These are classes that can absorb an insane amount of damage with their class kit and this region damage reduction buff allows them to sustain even longer. The 6s battleground revolves around 3 classes: Force Master, Destroyer, Assassin. If you do not play these 3 classes, you will never perform to your maximum potential. In other games, PvP has certain roles or strengths. In Blade and Soul, these 3 classes perform 5 star in sustain, burst, meta, support, functionality, and party play. If you look at all the other classes, no other class has a 5 star rating in every single aspect of PvP. In Korea, destroyers got buffed, again. NA will say “oh but regions are different.” No, they’re really not. Korea has 6000 more mystic but the defensive capabilities to balance out. NA’s passive damage reduction buff makes those 3 classes insanely overpowered and able to do just as much damage. The other ranged classes in this game besides Force Master have nowhere near as much potential and get out damaged by melee classes with the inability to perform in other areas. Nerfing those 3 classes listed would already be balancing the battleground, oh wait, in Korea, they doubled all of destroyer’s damage ratios. GM Favoritism - There was a recent ban of players for account boosting, account piloting, sharing account information, etc. These players were banned righteously as they were breaking Terms of Service. However, there was also another group of players who were doing the same thing and were not touched. These players paid money to not get banned. If any GM, moderator would like details, please go to my ticket history and you will see players with login stamps, IP bypass verifications, and GM’s give you a cookie cutter response with no punishment towards these players. Cheating/Hacking - Speed hack with video proof will not get a player banned if they spend money. GCD removal while streaming for the world to see, will not get a player banned if they spend money. Account boosting / account sharing, will not get a player banned if they spend money. Auto TAB + Auto F roll + Auto Aerial skills will not get a player banned and NC West has no way of detecting these. The amount of players that are currently using Auto TAB + Auto Aerial skills are increasing and making the “competitive” scene in battlegrounds an absolute joke. But again, spend money, and you won’t get banned. Advice for new players: 5 years ago, even 3 years ago, I would have recommended this game to every single player who enjoyed MMORPG’s. This is currently the fastest paced action you are going to get. However, with the GM favoritism going on, the poor optimization, everything listed above your account that you worked so hard for could get banned wrongfully without any appeal and the people who paid more will remain unpunished. The graphics are nice, but there are other games with much better optimization and more work vs reward and not behind an RNG wall. If we see improvement in these areas, I believe the population will bounce back and/or stabilize; however, bringing UE4 for graphical changes while not balancing any of the other classes, fixing optimization, listening to the community, will NOT make your game enjoyable to keep people interested. I would not recommend this game for a new player even with the Call to Arms event. The event will give you the ability to start out, but if you don’t enjoy grinding 8 hours a day for the next 15 years to be competitive in PvE and PvP, I recommend looking for others. If a GM locks this post or deletes it, please DM me if you’d like for me to make changes. I wrote this as a benefit to the production/development team as these are pressing issues that are making Blade and Soul less playable and the population is dwindling.

  9. Currently, there is a passive, global 25% damage reduction buff called Formidable in 6v6 battlegrounds. When Korea got these nerfs to PvP damage, there was no such buff available in battlegrounds. This buff was solely made for NA/EU region. The current state of 6v6 battlegrounds is horrendous in that this passive battleground buff is causing WAR, BM, DES to be nearly unkillable as it stacks with their skills/bracelet abilities causing damage reduction for nearly 75% up time. Please remove this global damage reduction buff as it is causing certain classes to be almost invulnerable and unenjoyable to play against. https://imgur.com/a/MEXYq4j
  10. NC West has successfully nerfed boss 2 HP and boss 2 legs. However, the adds that spawn in the room have not been nerfed and has been causing many difficulties between all raids across the NA/EU region. Why was boss HP nerfed and not add HP? The adds are a crucial part to the boss mechanics and are gear capping raids.

  12. I haven't bought an oil or pet pack because I do weeklies on 12 alts. Just takes time and farm. Don't want to grind? Pay. Put your time into figuring out raids, eventually everyone will have their gear and you can start selling runs (TT/ET). 500-1500 per week per raid.
  13. You're saying that the "above issues are looked into at the respective team levels." Do you know what the GM's responses are? They are telling us that they are unable to reproduce getting crowd controlled during our hook AND ricochet skills. Ricochet is mentioned on the Known Issues thread; however, with all the evidence that streamers from NA and EU Both are sending in and tickets, how is NC Soft UNABLE to reproduce the hook iframe issue? Have you guys even played this game on the real server? This bug is happening at least 8-15 times in a 5 hour stream window every night. File Repair was suggested and does NOT help the issue. This thread has all the above proof. I don't understand how the team can't reproduce these issues unless you don't play this game at all. It doesn't happen 100% of the time. You would need to play this game for more than 10 minutes to try and reproduce the issue.
  14. I don't understand how a class breaking bug with gunners (SS and hook) is being so actively ignored. GM's say they can't reproduce it but how can EU and NA reproduce being CC'd through hook ON STREAM with clips/videos, being sent to GM's multiple times, and still not make the list of bugs on the general discussion page. Let's face it; NO GM LOOKS AT Bugs section on forums.

  16. I sent a ticket in with video evidence of Choi’s stream against a gunner. Gunner hooked and still got CC’d. Unfortunately, I'am unable to replicate the issue that your character is experiencing, once we have used the Whipline skill, we are able to resist crowd controlled skill. For this situation, you may need to do a file repair on the game client. Please do the following: 1) Start the NC Launcher 2.0 2) Sign in with your account details. 3) Scan file 4) Wait for the files to verify. 5) Click on "Start Game" Now you can check to see if you are still getting the same issue as before.   17. I didn't see this on the known bugs thread, but Gunslingers are being CC'd through hook (in PvE and PvP) and SS, and during the cast of getting up to Skystone. Is this an intended feature of the new patch? You will see the hook animation come out, you will also end up losing a hook, but you will still get CC'd during the hook animation.   18. I heard the angel costume got released in closed beta, sadly I was unable to see it in game, but definitely one of the more interesting ones!
