DPS goes down after accessory upgrade

So...i just want to know whether its just my perception or if there is actually something wrong.

The story is as follows:

 

I got the TT earring and went on upgrading it in stages since i could not max it right away. I upgraded it all the way to stage 6 then stage 9 and my DPs was fine and i noticed a nice increase. the moment i made the earring stage 10 my DPS actually went down by even over 100k. At first i tohught its just my imagination but after doing a few parses it literally went down compared to what it was with the BT earring. I do even more dps with the skypearl Earring compared to stage 10 TT. My friend also noticed the same thing with his. Up till stage 9 its a boost but the moment he stage 10 upgraded it his dps went down aswel.

 

Did anyone else notice something similar?

i've heard the same thing.

Remove all your gears, including SS, then re-equip them.

 

Someone said this will fix the DPS drop.
