Balrok Spawning Mechanics?

So how does it work exactly? I've seen Balrok spawn on his own for no real reason, I've waited over an hour with no Balrok spawn, I've seen Dark Balrok spawn right after Balrok without anyone having to do anything, and I've also waited half and hour after Balrok dies only to have Balrok spawn again (not Dark Balrok)... I heard something about killing Balrok 3 times? hoping that's false though...

• Balrok: Kill 3 bosses in total.
• Dark Balrok: Kill Balrok 3 times, which means killing the other bosses 9 times.

Also you have to kill the shamans that appear at Balroks spawn point after killing 3 bosses. I'm not sure if they despawn if they are not killed after a while.

 

3 bosses -> Balrok -> 3 bosses -> Balrok -> 3 bosses -> Balrok -> Dark Balrok -> repeat

 

This is still the easiest lvl 50 24-man zone as Balrok is soloable and the smaller bosses spawn fast.
