HM levels

when/where do you get to the HM levels? thanks in advance.

Once you hit lvl 50 you accumulate HM EXP.

Once you hit Max lvl (currently 50 atm) all exp you gain will go to HM level.

Thanks... follow-up question... how are some people lvl 47 or 48 (not 50 yet) but have HM lvls?

 

it was the above that made me think i had to do some quest or something special to get access to them.

The former level cap was 45. At 45 you could get up to Hongmoon Level 5, so 45+5. As the level cap was raised to 50, the HM XP was put on hold, so the XP you made was used to level you char up. Once you hit level 50, the HM XP was activated again. So between the old level 45 cap and the current level 50 cap people could get up to +5 HM level, that's why you see level 45-49 with HM levels.
