At this point it is beyond clear NCSoft intends to shut down our region sometime within the next four to five months.

Not even UE4 day was that long.
UE4 was 12 hours plus a couple daylays.

NCSoft is not known to sell IPs of their games, even those they have closed down. BNS dies with them.

As already outlined in this thread, NCSoft does have the means to stop Multi Tool and BNS Buddy, but that would do little to stop cheating. It would stop CASUALLY doing so, but there's already ways to do it without even installing either. The only solution would be the often quoted server side validation, which will never happen.

Thanks a lot, PvP will be so much better now 😃The patch notes are not specific enough to indicate one way or the other that HMCoins will be removed, however if they are it kills 6v6 and it will NEVER RECOVER. People wanting this want to kill the game and likely do not currently play and should be ignored and possibly blocked from the community for attempted sabotage.

The utter radio silence as of late is proof that NCSoft has abandoned BNS in NA, EU, and RU at this point. Several weeks of no staff posts except maint notices? It is time to announce the obvious plans that the game is intended to be shut down and issue 100% refunds before the lawsuits and chargebacks hit.

They AFK because Koldrak is quite prone to disconnecting or even freezing the game of players. Until this is resolved AFKing likely will continue. And before you go 'if their computer can't handle it they shouldn't do it', keep in mind ones computer often does NOT dictate them getting disconnected from the game itself, which is not their fault in the slightest, nor is the freezing up because I've heard from people with high end hardware having the same issues.
Besides, a vote to kick would be useless because sometimes they have majority. AFKers are unlikely to vote kick other AFKers.

KR will actually be four dungeons ahead of us on the 19th, assuming we don't get the second Demonsbane dungeon, the 'Illegal Weapons Factory'. Plus a solo dungeon ahead. They seem to get a new one every month on the dot as of late. Other dungeons we don't have yet are the Chaos Supply Chain, Namdo Hall of Trials and the Shrine of Victory. All of which are likely to get new names of course other then maybe Chaos Supply Chain because that name works.
They've also reworked Ransacked Treasury, Starstone Mines, and Ebondrake Lair to have Easy/Normal/Hard difficulities.

200IQ is correct. NCSoft in Korea (which virtually none of its employees speak English) is the sole authority over the game. No one who works for NCWest has any say whatsoever, they cannot alter or add any content of their own accord. So who knows when we'll actually get things, and I wouldn't be surprised if they announce in the near future the closure of our region.

Don't get me wrong, I actually agree with you. Many people use it for performance reasons, hence why I suggest that if BNS were to get some of the PERFORMANCE stuff incorperated into the game, it may eliminate some tool usage.
As a note, the devs of Multi Tool and Buddy would absolutely lose a lawsuit: NCSoft actually has a few ways they could go about it. Trademark infringement could be one of them, violation of the terms of service, or simply putting forth the theory that it loses them profits (lol).
But it absolutely would cost them far, far more then they'd ever gain from it. So they let it slide instead. Maybe they ban the odd person that's so blindingly obvious that even NCSoft's staff can read the logs and go 'that person is CHEATING', but there's some proof that no staff really knows how to manually read the server logs.

I am reasonably informed, and I am not wrong: lawsuits would quickly destroy BNS Buddy and BNS Multi Tool. I did not once say anything about cheating myself in any capacity. Ending cheating will never happen as long as a lot of the games files are exposed to the end user and there is no server side validation...and even that would not be flawless and could not defeat macros.

It's intentional. When an accessory loses the ability to be upgraded, it also loses the ability to change specs.

FF14 never had the option for it. But always were implemented into the game.There is a massive difference behind 'this class has an ability to reduce GCD briefly' and 'a player edited the files to reduce it'. And WoW has ALWAYS HAD GCD, and NEVER HAD A OPTION TO EVER CHANGE OR DISABLE IT. The developers changing it is also NOT EQUAL to a player tinkering with files.

Won't happen in a million years. The only way to destroy Multi Tool and BNS Buddy would literally be to sue their developers into the ground, and there are indications at least one of them is not living in America. International lawsuits are extremely expensive...more so when you consider the ripple effect of people quitting if these tools are disabled or prohibited. Those facts are what keeps them around: it would cost NCSoft more to combat then it would to just passively ignore.
Alternately...if NCSoft provided a similar toolset, that could mitigate the 'need' to use them for performance reasons. Provide us per class animation and effect disabling in the game itself, and you eliminate one of the compelling reasons to use alternate launchers.

The time for NCWest to crack down was back in 2016 when we first got the game in our region...now it's so engrained into the culture that if they were punished (and there is no direct evidence for 99% of cheating, F5 access is not proof enough in any way since it was possible to sometimes access even with a functional Gameguard) that to boot them would be fatal to the game. Whales would charge back the maximum they could and move on.

Also, when the game came out, upgrading your weapon in korea was rng. Here it was 100% but more expensive. Ancient upgrades should be the same, more expensive but 100%. Farming for a week, then your soul went from +7 to +6, gratz!Eventually that will be the case, actually. Alice KR has reported that Soul and Pet Aura at least will no longer backslide on failure, but given that KR either is just getting it or will get that very soon, means we will not see it for some time.

No employee at NCWest knows what is going on with the game. None of them play it, none of them know or communicate with KR outside of receiving patches which they must apply. They cannot alter, change, or add or remove content themselves in any capacity.

No, no they don't. If you're expecting them to ban literally thousands of players then I don't know what to tell you. Again, it was possible to sometimes access F5 even with GG unbypassed sometimes. Are they to be lumped in as well with those that did? They cannot use that alone as a factor and you are immensely foolish to think otherwise.

@HimeNCWest has the data necessary to punish people who bypassed GameGuard on day 1 by using F5 marketplace logs. Why isn't anything being done?Do you even remotely comprehend how utterly fatal to the game that would be? In addition, I know a few people that were able to access F5, though quite infrequently even with Gameguard functional. Are they to be punished because GameGuard crapped out, too?

client keeps crushing after today's maintainance

This is likely due to the fact that the client and server are mismatched version wise due to them having to revert things server side. Expect a fix on Feb 2nd.
