Returning player here, please hear me out, this is what it's been like since I got back! ( It's not good at all )

I Came back a month ago with the hopes of seeing a game that had withstood the test of time, but instead was met with a horrible gaming experience! Somehow one of the best games I have ever played and treasured back in 2018, has turned into the most cash shop bound pile of multi-player dependent trash I have ever seen! Now that's saying a lot considering I stuck with Aika online until it was shut down! It seems NC-Soft is either trying to kill this beautiful game on purpose, or they just outright only care to cater to the very top .05% of players/cash shop junkies on here just like Aika did until it killed it! It seems like sometime around 2021 the game went full on sh!t because that looks like when most ppl quit and just walked away! I don't know how ppl could spend so much of their life building something like this game or any other game and not even want the input of the player base it has! This game seems to like the main aspect of any good MMORPG It solo player base! 99% of players of MMORPG's are solo players, yet everything in this game is built around the absolute highest lvl players and gear! No one is going to download a game and send 8k the first day they play it and have 100 friends playing at any given minute of the day to do stuff with hell even having 2 friends on is almost unheard of! nearly every daily quest is for some outlandish op dungeon needing 4 or more near max lvl players with top tier gear! The overuse of crap drops like the worthless coins and everything in the game is UNTERDEABLE so good luck buying a membership and working your gear up to a decent lvl! I mean why is it that the whole game has economy outside of selling and trading gold for NC-Coin! Who thought that was a good model for a game? They could save this game in 2 updates if they wanted to and make profit, but just like G-POTATO they will let it die before they come off their high horse and pray the next one makes more money! I was going to buy A membership but at this point I can see no reason to, Blade and soul has nothing left to offer me as a single solo player other than stress and lack of anything close to fun! The game has become almost unplayable due to its complexity of upgrading gear and skills with no real explanation of how to, or what is needed to do so and where to get it! I did notice the insane amount of hit points everything in the game now has, and the damn instant death timers and health regain mech's of the bosses are a slap in the face to solo players! I hope if anyone who works on this game reads this in full, I would love nothing more than to see this game stay around another 20 years and spend much of my time on it, but if you can't see It's low lvl solo players that will mostly use your products. There's not much help for this game or any other you make! I don't mind buying a membership and maybe dropping an extra $20 here and there. But you all at NC SOFT are just outright going for the bank all at once, and people have wised up to it, and it's killing mmo's left and right! Yes I also know they have done things like soul boost and other stuff like it to help with gear, but what good is that stuff if the game is still absolutely dependent on you cash shopping to upgrade things! In short they need to make the decision to either quickly make the game more geared toward low lvl, low geared, solo pve and pvp players with basic memberships or prepare for the total loss of blade and soul. This is almost word for word what I wrote about Aika online 1 year before the servers where closed! All I am asking is NC-SOFT don't let that be the faith of this game! You all take care of yourselves, But I would not be spending much more cash on this game if I where you guys and I want be spending until I see more solo playable pve stuff on here, I can't even solo the dailies at lvl 60 hm20 nor do I feel like wasting time trying to find a party to do them with! But since my return I highly doubt there's over 5k ppl left playing this game!

Honestly, if you can't even solo your daily challenge it's most likely a you-problem. Even with basic Starcross gear, you can solo demonsbane stage 1 of all dungeons. Altar and Grim Nexus are decent to solo at low gear, but definitely possible.
Besides, it's not too hard to find at least a second decently geared player in F8 to do stage 1s or heroics on easy.

If putting any kind of effort into the game is already too much for you, this game might not be suitable for you.

Just a question about something you said in this? Why does it bother you ppl so much if someone farms with a bot? Are they not still paying a monthly membership fee for that bot to farm, which helps support the cost of keeping the game going? Or does it mean more to your poor little heart to have fake value in a game than it does to make money to help keep it going for everyone else? I am not against farming bots at all in video games any more than I am against AI in real life!

there are areas you are allowed to bot in (auto-combat)

other areas there shouldn't be any bots, cause there aren't meant to be any

Dude, I have just returned yesterday after 4+ years  🙂 not even HM20 very old player and more importantly pure F2P, 0$ investment, Nothing to say about the game, you have already explained and I agreed on that 100%, even I quitted for the same reason, came back to see the status and its worse as well for F2p. But practically speaking what a business expect from a F2P game if they wont get revenue or benefit in terms of money 🙂 how they will maintain the servers, keep updating, give salaries to their employees who working hard for 12+ hrs. ? I am not saying I'm fan of P2W system, I'm just a guy who is giving you a picture of the business aspects even though this monetization could be a bit less torturous for us which was the reason I quitted, and came back to see if any improvements. Anyways I don't think there is anything left here to do for HM20 F2P like me. Just saw your post which attracts me and share my thoughts. Have a nice life dude
