Speakers for monitor???

I just bought a new gaming tower to handle BnS better and bought a monitor separately. However, the monitor won't have sound. Google says i might need one but its not saying 'yes' or 'no'. 
Can someone tell me if i need speakers too???

You don't need sound for BnS, but it sure makes stuff easier and more enjoyable.

 

I'd recommend headphones/headset over speakers for gaming.

@NeroAlbania How can we see if your monitor has speakers if we dont know what you have bought? 

Most monitors these days have speakers, you either connect via HDMI or Display port (Or using separate sound cable). If no sound comes out go to your sound settings and select your monitor to be your main sound output.  Done.

@Stacey Banks I love using speakers way better sound compared to headsets. Headphones can have good sound if you have a motherboard with build in amp or a separate amp for it. 
You recommend? No you prefer.

In the end it comes down to personal preferences of course and how much you are able and willing to spend.
