I did manage to do it once with HM block, but I have to be the marker otherwise I die, if I'm not the marker, somehow the block protects everyone in the party except me, maybe my timing was wrong, idk, we only tested it once because it's not viable at all.

It requires really high dps because we killed him about 5 seconds after the enrage, we did it in 4 man with soulburn and a whale BD and we barely had enough damage since doing it this way means no extra dmg from the mechanics.

 

I heard it's possible with frost sheath as well, but I think you'd run into the same problem my party did.
