Upon equipping the Lumang Accuracy Soul Shield, it does not complete the achievement.

 

I hope this  will get fixed soon :)

This happened to me too.  I think it's a bug honestly as one piece does register and it's piece #8.  Subsequently, piece #8 is the only piece that binds when equipped; all the others can be traded and don't give the "Equipping this item will bind it to your character." message.
