Ruby Gem Not Working!?

Hey guys,

i bought a Brilliant Pentagon Ruby Gem(+230 Additional Dmg //**Triggered on Attack) from market and slapped it onto a level 8 warlock.... it didn't make any difference in the dmg that i was dealing

why is this? :(

Anyone?,

is it because the level of the character is too low? is it because the weapon level is too low?, Does it have anything too do with rng?? is it a *CHANCE* to get 230+ add dmg?

It's random proc though when it's proced you will see a 230 damage above target head (same damage as life leech).

As @Elynya indicated, it is a chance to get +230 additional damage, not always (that would be awesome though)

 

Diamonds give you +X additional damage always.

 

Fun fact: If you watch your character while attacking, if the gem effect is triggered, it will show a silhouette of that color (so for ruby, you will see a red outline pop out of your character, for amethyst it will be a purple outline, etc.)

Think the percent chance these gems actually work is in the neighborhood of 5-10%.
