How to beat summoners?

Or rather, how to stop hitting the cat with everything? I've been looking desperately for a way to lock my target or something because I can't choose who I am hitting with anything. The cat eats most of the stuns/CC to the face for the summoner, and there's plenty of times my buttons just *cricket* up because of them.

 

Like if I sneak attack the summoner, and try to Tab to kick them into the air directly after, you'd think I'd hit the summoner because I just teleported directly behind them, therefore they should be in the center of my screen. But instead it'll activate Turning Leaf on the cat I left behind after my teleport. -_-

 

Is there just... some way I can stop hitting them?

Ask NCsoft to nerf that shiity cat and the summoner -.-
