Blackram and E. Fleet Supply Chain

  • A new 4-player and 6-player dungeon inviting you to assemble a party of your fellow warriors, and take on the mighty Blackram Pirates in an attempt to depose their leader, the vicious Vice Admiral Poharan.
  • Or delve into the 24-player version, the E. Fleet Supply Chain, to group up with bands of other adventurers and work toward common daily goals.


New Customization Options

  • New hairstyles, hair colors, and other additional character customization options are now available during character creation, or when using a Character Alteration Voucher.

 

General

  • A PIN system is now required to help protect your account from being accessed by others. You can alternatively choose to use Google Authenticator for increased account security.
  • PIN is mandatory and you will need to create one the first time you log in to the game.
  • PIN can be changed through your account management page on NCSOFT.com.
  • If Google Authenticator is enabled, PIN will be deactivated.
  • A Google Authenticator can be added through account management.
  • Added an additional row to character inventory. The maximum number of inventory slots is now 88, up from 80.
  • You can now show off your Founder’s Pack exclusive titles.
  • The Currency Exchange has been disabled. It will be enabled at a later time.
  • Added the ability to purchase NCoin from within the client for some payment methods.
  • Credits are now available from the Character Lobby.
  • New loading screens have been added.
  • New achievements are available.
  • Adjusted the running animation for Yun.

 

User Interface

  • Fixed an issue with the display of Premium Points.
  • Fixed an issue with the display of assigned skill points in the Martial Tome.
  • Added the ability to access the Hongmoon Store from the Character Lobby.
  • Updated Menu Bar & Escape Menu UI. Press Escape or click the Blade & Soul icon to access them.
  • Gave the Marketplace and Character Info UI a visual overhaul.
  • Added Clock UI to track world events and reset timers.
  • Fixed display of Premium Membership benefits.
  • Added an additional bar for non-combat buffs such as the Premium Membership buff.
  • A pop-up warning has been added when you equip a PvP-enabled costume.
  • You can now use the F key to accept or finish quests.
  • Fixed an issue with overlapping text in the Duel UI.
  • Fixed an issue with displaying Hongmoon levels in the Boss UI.
  • Fixed an issue with overlapping text in the Crafting UI.
  • Added recommended level information to some dungeon tooltips.

 

Options

  • Updated Options menu UI to better accommodate English, French, and German text.
  • Added an option to offset Camera Position.
  • Increased Max Camera Distance.
  • Added options for Clock and clock notifications.
  • Added an option to automatically detect and set graphics settings.
  • Fixed display and functionality of mapping buttons in Gamepad Options.
  • Adjusted Key Mapping options for users with AZERTY keyboards.

 

PvP

  • Blade & Soul is launching in PvP Preseason 0. No Zen Beans will be rewarded during this period. We’ll have more information on future preseasons and seasons in the near future. Keep an eye on BladeandSoul.com
  • Changed the minimum level to participate in 1v1 duel from level 4 to level 15.
  • Fixed an issue where players would get disconnected in the Arena Lobby.
  • Temporarily removed Zen Bean vendors.
  • The 3v3 arena quest is now available starting at level 43.
     

 Items

  • Changed the recipe for crafting Blackwyrm Roar Resistance Charm.
  • Updated some crafting items and recipes for Forgekeepers.
  • Fixed a bug where Hongmoon Coins were not crafting successfully in rare occasions.
  • The Wardrobe and Hongmoon Store have been updated with new costumes and accessories.
  • You can now purchase Character Alteration Vouchers, Name Change Vouchers, and additional Character Slots from the Hongmoon Store.
     

Localization

  • Fixed and updated a large amount of text, voiceover, and cutscene localization in English, German, and French.

 

System

  • Added support for staged download client.
  • Fixed an issue with Direct3D and NVIDIA GPUs.
  • Fixed an issue with the mouse cursor leaving the window in Fullscreen mode.
  • Fixed an issue where the game would sometimes fail to start.
  • Fixed an issue with characters limits in mail.
  • Fixed several client crashes.
  • Fixed an issue where players would get disconnected in Cross Server Dungeon.
     

Blade & Soul West Launch Skill Updates


General

  • All counterattack skills when you are knocked down have had their duration changed to 0.8 seconds.
  • You can counterattack in any direction.
  • After a successful counterattack, you are immune to knockdown, stun, daze, and knockback for 1 second.

 

Assassin

  • Poison Breath (4)
  • Poison Breath (Tier 3 Stage 1) now absorbs 50% of damage dealt as HP
  • Choke Bomb (Tier 3 Stage 3) damage increased.
  • Plaguemist (Tier 3 Stage 4) damage increased.
  • Shuriken (X)
  • Added Smoke Screen (Tier 3 Stage 3) which grants Stealth for 10 seconds for you and your party members.  This skill has a 90 second cooldown.
  • Lotus of Escape (V)
  • Lotus of Rescue (Tier 5 Stage 4) has had its cooldown reduced to 90 seconds from 180 seconds (shares cooldown with Kung Fu Master’s Fighting Spirit) and area of effect increased to 8m from 5m.  It also grants Stealth to party members for 3 seconds after they teleport.

 

Blade Dancer

  • Flicker (LB)
  • Flicker (Tier 2 Stage 2) now deals reduced damage.
  • Lightning Strike (RB)
  • Lightning Strike (Tier 2 Stage 2) now deals reduced damage.
  • Sunder (RB)

Sunder (Tier 2 Stage 3) now deals reduced damage.

  • Sunder (Tier 3 Stage 3) now deals additional damage to enemies affected by Daze or Knockdown.
  • Flash Step (F)
  • Flash Step (Stage 1) now stacks 1 Bleed and no longer recovers Focus.
  • Lightning Flash (Stage 2) now stacks 1 Bleed and recovers 1 Focus.
  • Stomp (F)
  • Divebomb (Tier 2 Stage 3) now cancels enemy defensive skills and causes Knockdown for 2 seconds.
  • Rolling Typhoon (F)
  • Rolling Typhoon now stacks 1 Bleed.
  • Vortex (Tab)
  • Merged Vortex Tier 3 Stage 1 into Vortex Tier 2 Stage .
  • Added Maelstrom Tier 3 Stage 1 which resists damage and status effects for 2 seconds.
  • Maelstrom Tier 5 Stage 2 grants Soul Blade Vortex to all party members which resists damage and status effects and grants 100% increased movement speed for 3 seconds.
  • Rush (2)
  • Multislash (Stage 2) changed to a single target ability.
  • Raid (Tier 3 Stage 3) no longer prevents movement ability and now applies the Stun Joint Technique 2 times.
  • Guardian Tempest (Z)
  • Guardian Tempest (Tier 5 Stage 1) now costs 2 skill points, down from 3.
  • Guardian Tempest (Tier 5 Stage 1) now recovers less HP when resisting damage.
  • Guardian Tempest (Tier 5 Stage 2) now costs 3 skill points, up from 2.
  • Guardian Tempest (Tier 5 Stage 2) now resists 3 damage and/or status effects, down from 5.
  • Guardian Tempest (Tier 5 Stage 2) now also allows your party members to resist Immobilization effects while their movement speed is increased for 6 seconds.
  • Guardian Tempest (Tier 3 Stage 2) no longer allows party members to resist damage or status effects but now removes any Immobilization effects and increases the movement speed of all party members by 60% for 6 seconds.  It also has had its cooldown increased to 60 seconds from 36 seconds.
  • Whirling Scourge (Z)
  • Whirling Scourge (Stage 3) and Flaming Scourge (Stage 4) have had their cooldowns increased to 45 seconds from 36 seconds and their cooldowns cannot be reset.
  • Whirling Scourge (Tier 2 Stage 3) has had its duration increased to 6 seconds, up from 5.
  • Whirling Scourge (Tier 3 Stage 3) now increases the cast speed of Rolling Typhoon (F) and has its cooldown reduced by 1 whenever an Electric Focus is generated.
  • Whirling Scourge (Tier 5 Stage 3) now increases wind damage by 40% while it is active.
  • Flaming Scourge (Z)
  • Flaming Scourge (Tier 3 Stage 4) now has its cooldown reduced by 1 whenever a Wind Focus is generated.
  • Flaming Scourge (Tier 5 Stage 4) now increases Lightning damage by 40% while it is active.
  • Electric Focus
  • Gain 3 Electric Focus whenever you cast Storm Cleave (V).
  • Reduce the cooldown of Flaming Scourge (Z) by 9 seconds whenever you cast Storm Cleave (V).

 

Blade Master

  • Cyclone (LB)
  • Now removes any Immobilization effects and resists additional Immobilization for 2 seconds.
  • Cyclone (Tier 3 Stage 2) now increases Threat by 150% for 30 seconds.
  • Pierce (RB)
  • Tier 3 Stage 2 has been merged into Tier 5 Stage 2.
  • Pierce (Tier 5 Stage 2) now reaches Maximum Boost on consecutive use.
  • Pierce (Tier 5 Stage 2) now no longer increases Threat.
  • Block (1)
  • Winged Protector (F) now removes Stun, Knockdown, Daze, or Paralyze effects from your party members.
  • Blade Strike (1)
  • Blade Strike has had its cooldown reduced to 1.5 seconds from 3 seconds.
  • Blade Strike now parries attacks in all directions.
  • Blade Strike (Tier 3) now restores 1 Focus on a successful parry.
  • Blade Strike (Tier 5) now resists damage and status effects for 2 seconds.
  • Blade Strike (Tier 5) now allows you to cast Guardian Tempest.
  • Five Point Strike (3)
  • Added Stage 3 which generates 3 times the amount of Threat.
  • Lightning Draw (4)
  • Lightning Draw (Tier 5 Stage 1) now deals increased damage and also deals increased damage to targets affected by Knockdown.
  • Lightning Draw (Tier 5 Stage 1) has had its cooldown increased to 1 minute from 36 seconds.
  • Soaring Falcon (Z)
  • Added Tier 5 Stage 3 which allows you to pull targets to you and stun them for 3 seconds.
  • Shoulder Charge (C)
  • Shoulder Charge (Tier 3 Rank 3) now dazes for 3 seconds, up from 2.
  • Flock of Blades (V)
  • Now breaks any Immobilization effects and resists Immobilization while casting.
  • •    Evade (SS)
  • Now increases movement speed by 30% for 4 seconds.

 

Destroyer

  • Wrath (LB)
  • Stage 1 now deals Earth damage.
  • Stage 2 now deals Shadow damage.
  • Knee (F)
  • Knee (Tier 2 Stage 1) now has a 30 second cooldown and pierces defense.  It can now also be casted while using Hurricane (Tab).
  • Knee (Tier 3 Rank 1) has been merged into Tier 2 Rank 1.
  • Knee (Tier 4 Rank 1) has been merged into Tier 2 Rank 2.
  • Knee Stage 3 can now be used while the enemy is using a defensive action.
  • Galeforce (F)
  • Now restores 30 Focus.
  • Emberstomp (3)
  • Emberstomp (Tier 5 Stage 3) increases damage of Wrath (LB) Stage 1 by 20%.
  • Stone Shield (V)
  • Stone Shield (Tier 5 Stage 2) now ignores defense cancelling skills, increases defense by 400%, and decreases damage by 40%.
  • Typhoon (Q)
  • Typhoon now deals Shadow damage instead of Flame damage.
  • Added Typhoon (Tier 3 Stage 2) which no longer slows you while it is active, provides additional resistance to damage and status effects, and Stuns enemies for 2 seconds after they have been hit 5 times.
  • Added Typhoon (Tier 2 Stage 3) which causes an 11m Knockback but cannot have its cooldown reset.
  • Fury (E)
  • Both Fury (E) and Persistence (E) allow you to resist Drag effects.
  • Fury (Stage 1) now purges Immobility effects.

 

Force Master

  • Phantom Grip (4)
  • Added Shadow Grasp (Tier 2 Stage 4) which pulls enemies, decreases their movement speed by 80%, and prevents them from using movement skills.
  • Added Multiple Blaze (Tier 5 Stage 4) which pierces defense and deals Flame damage over time after a successful Shadow Grasp.
  • Snowball (X)
  • Frost Tornado (Stage 3) now prevents the target from using offensive or defense skills for 4 seconds.
  • Frost Tornado (Stage 3) casting speed increased.

 

Kung Fu Master

  • Guiding Fist (RB)
  • Guiding Fist (Tier 1 Stage 1) now increases Threat by 150% for 15 seconds and recovers 3 Focus.
  • Avenging Fist (RB)
  • Tier 4 Stage 2 has been merged into Tier 3 Stage 2.
  • Added Avenging Fist (Tier 2 Stage 3) which recovers 3 Focus.
  • Added Avenging Fist (Tier 3 Stage 3) which guarantees a critical hit on the next use of Swift Strike (2) or Tiger Strike (2).
  • Triple Kick (RB)
  • Tier 3 Stage 1 has been merged into Tier 2 Stage 1.
  • Tier 4 Stage 2 and Tier 4 Stage 3 have been merged into Firestorm Kick (Tier 2 Stage 2).
  • Iron Shoulder (F)
  • Iron Shoulder (Stage 2 All Tiers) has had its damage adjusted.
  • Power Drop (F)
  • This skill has been removed.
  • Flying Slam (Tab)
  • Added Flying Slam (Tier 4 Stage 3) which launches enemies within an 8m radius into the air, with a cooldown of 1 minute.
  • Grapple (Tab)
  • Ice Guard (Stage 3) now places you and your opponent in Frost Prison if attacked during Ice Sheath.
  • Fighting Spirit (Tier 4 Stage 4) now restores Focus for you and your party members.
  • Counter (1)
  • Counter no longer shares a cooldown with other skills
  • Counter (Tier 3 Stage 1) no longer restores health but now resists Stun and Daze for 2 seconds upon a successful counter.
  • Counter (Tier 3 Stage 4) now increases Threat upon successful counter.
  • Counter (Tier 5 Stage 4) no longer resists Stun and Daze for 2 seconds but now recovers 2% of your max HP over 5 seconds.
  • Elbow Smash (1)
  • Elbow Smash (Tier 4 Stage 2) no longer pierces counter but now decreases the cooldown of Comet Strike (4) upon a successful counter.
  • Elbow Smash (Tier 5 Stage 2) now allows you to resist single hit damage and status effects for 1 second upon a successful counter.
  • Swift Strike (2)
  • Swift Strike now deals Wind damage.
  • Swift Strike (Tier 4 Stage 1) has been merged into Tier 5 Stage 1.
  • Swift Strike (Tier 5 Stage 2) no longer deals increased Threat.
  • Tiger Strike (Tier 5 Stage 4) now deals reduced base damage and conditional damage.
  • Somersault Kick (2)
  • You can now move immediately after a successful counter.
  • Emit Frost (3)
  • Now places yourself in a Frost Prison for 3 seconds.
  • Leg Sweep (3)
  • Removed Tier 4 Stage 1 and 2 and moved the effects to Shin Kick (Tier 3 Stage 2).
  • Comet Strike (4)
  • Increased the base damage of the skill
  • Comet Strike (Tier 1 Stage 1) now has a larger area of effect (2 x 8m).
  • Comet Strike (Tier 2 Stage 1) now costs only 1 Focus and deals additional damage to enemies affected by Stun, Daze, Grapple, Control, or Searing Palm.
  • Comet Strike (Tier 4 Stage 1) can now be cast instantly upon a successful counter or when Unleashed and allows you to cast Searing Palm upon a successful hit.
  • Comet Strike (Tier 5 Stage 1) has had its damage increased.
  • Comet Strike (Tier 2 Stage 2) had had its damage increased and cast time increased to 2 seconds.
  • Comet Strike (Tier 4 Stage 2) can be cast upon successful evade, Shadow Dance (Q), Footwork (E), Backstep (SS) or Flurry (C).
  • Comet Strike (Tier 5 Stage 2) is now Boosted on consecutive use and recovers 1 Focus upon a critical hit.
  • Comet Strike (Stage 4 and 5) has had its damage changed from Flame to Wind.
  • Comet Strike (Tier 2 Stage 3) is now instant cast, costs 2 Focus and has a cooldown of 45 seconds.
  • Comet Strike (Tier 4 Stage 3) can be casted again after a successful critical hit.
  • Comet Strike (Tier 5 Stage 3) now recovers Focus upon critical hit.
  • Comet Strike (Tier 4 Stage 4) now Dazes for 2 seconds.
  • Comet Strike (Tier 5 Stage 4) now recovers 3 Focus upon critical hit.
  • Hellfire Kick (4)
  • Now allows you to cast Searing Palm.
  • Leading Palm (X)
  •     Now casts instantly while Unleashed.
  • Tremor (V)
  • Tremor (Tier 5 Stage 3) now generates 3 times the amount of Threat.
  • Tremor (Tier 4 Stage 2 and Tier 4 Stage 3) now recovers 2 Focus on each hit.
  • Flurry (C)
  • Flurry (Tier 1 Stage 1, Tier 3 Stage 1, Tier 4 Stage 1) now resists damage and status effects for 0.8 seconds after cast.
  • Flurry (Tier 3 Stage 1) now deals increased damage and costs 0 Focus.
  • Flurry (Tier 4 Stage 1) now recovers 1 Focus on hit and decreases the cooldown of Searing Palm (up to 1 time) for 6 seconds upon a successful resist.
  • Flurry (Stage 2) now has its invulnerability frames synchronized with the attack animation.

 

Summoner

  • Rumblebees (RB)
  • Rumblebees (Stage 3) damage reduced.
  • Sunflower (Tier 2 Stage 4) now costs 3 Focus, up from 2.
  • Doom ‘n’ Bloom (F)
  • Doom ‘n’ Bloom now deals damage over time on enemies affected by Weed Whack.
  • Power Pounce (Tab)
  • Power Pounce can no longer be countered.
  • Pin duration is now 4 seconds and can be increased to 5 seconds for Stage 1 and Stage 2.
  • Power Pounce (Tier 4 Stage 1) no longer causes flashbang effect and now causes Knockdown for 2 seconds after 10 seconds.
  • Briar Patch (4)
  • Briar Patch no longer causes Threat when cast.
  • Stage 1 and Stage 2 now deal Earth damage.
  • Added Briar Patch (Tier 2 Stage 3) which deals increased Wind damage.
  • Added Briar Patch (Tier 3 Stage 3) which resets the cooldown of Rumblebees.
  • True Friend (X)
  • True Friend can no longer be used while your Familiar is grappling a target.
  • True Friend (except Tier 3 Stage 1) cannot be cast when your Familiar is being grabbed, suppressed, or airborne.
  • Hammer Spin (C)
  • Hammer Spin (Tier 1 Stage 1) allows your Familiar to escape from being Grabbed.
