  1. I believe this would be something similar to Guild Wars 2 super/under sampling? Or Dolphin Emulator's "internal resolution"? If this is that, then I believe we could use not only one to go up, but also one to go down for weaker computers. Despite being 2019, plenty of computers out there still can't handle this game at decent settings. My own laptop can handle mid-high settings, but at the cost of plenty of heating.

That may be true in order for NCSoft to get a specific rating and I know nothing about ratings in the EU, but who would be requiring NCSoft to tone down amount of skin -- and please note, I'm not talking about full frontal nudity, though I wouldn't strongly object to that, I probably wouldn't find it exactly appealing -- I mean what's the point of all the outfits if there's no outfit.  However, in some shots of women in 'jumpers', the top's will have a split to the belly button but be fully covering of nipples and show nothing more than cleavage.

I've heard and seen outfits in videos and the artwork with a cut all the way to the waist or belly button, but the the US version shows up with it closed or zipped all the way to the top.  What's up with that?  The long split is clearly more sexy, but in no way would it exceed a PG rating and certainly not the 'R' rating that mature theoretically corresponds to.

But certainly, KOR textures could be available for download and I wouldn't think compatibility would be an issue.  Sure, NCx might have to comply with country codes, but if users download it from a site in another country and the loader or the game has an option to "look-aside" in a user's personal folder before looking in the localization folder and stock-game folder.

But what irks me is gratuitous censoring of things that are sexy, but not showing anything explicit.  That's the thing that bothers me the most -- like I can't even handle seeing a bare belly button as though it was some demented return to the early ears of "I Dream of Jeannie" where they had to be careful in earlier season to avoid showing a bare belly button.

Still maybe the best solution might be making original textures available for D/l and installation?

Check the China version. Our version wasn't as censored in comparison...

I have no problems with out version. But if you want more, I'm sure a search engine can be of great help.

  3. Instead of removing the one day lockout, make it so there's a way for people to grab the quest at the dungeon entrance or something. Though until/IF that happens, the current workaround here is to heed brother Hajoon's advice and "READ THE LETTER!"

I will put this here to as it was part of another conversation regarding the gem powders price.

”If I had to take a guess on what players value most for their solar energy it would be badges (which is hard to put a true value on as it is a one and done situation) and obsidian gems.  So I will use obsidian gems as my example.  Pentas will be 10 solar energy after the update, so most people count it as 30 for a hexagon, but the difference between that and normal gems are the other material needed to upgrade it.  Pentas take 4 black stones to go to hexa, the solar energy exchange would value a fragment at 3 solar energy, which that I think is out dated so I will lower it down to 1.  This means to get a hexagonal using only solar energy would then cost you 110 solar energy.  If we compare that to hexa normal gem -> hepta using solar energy (buying hexa gems and gem powders). It would be 74 solar energies.”.

There is more that was discussed in the topic about how they should add more alternatives.  Solar energy is suppose to supplement.  None of the prices are really great for solar energy when dissecting it.

I thought it was only 40 solars for a hexa obsidian? I haven't done it yet but from what I'm seeing here, you buy pentas off Express for 10 solars as it doesn't sell squares anymore. So, spend 30 solars on 3 pentas, then on transmutation, you spend an additional 10 solars + 25 SS crystals and some gold for a hexa. Or am I missing something?

  5. At least from the games I've played, 10 dollars is usually the base price for vouchers. As for hair/cosmetics-only vouchers, I like the idea. I doubt that if such a thing comes they will include lyn specific changes, but I can see the rest of it not being much of a problem if enough people ask for it with money up front.

thats the problem since NC-Soft decided to remove the good old 4 men dungeons and replace them ba 6men Hardmode, which was a ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ing jocke back in that time. Suddenly our normalmode was the new hardmode. Stupidly NC-Soft continues with making things more and more easy. When Shadowmoore was released you had to do mech and could learn the basics for hardmode. But then, for whatever reason nc-soft decided to make this dungeon ridicoulous easy. There is still mech, but hey you can completly ignore it and stupidly burst down the boss, so why bother with the mech anyway?

Anyway, when you have decent gear and about 1500A,  you can join at least hardmodes in starstone mine up to drowning deeps. there are still a little bit of mech, but most partys manage to skip even these. Sad but true ...

I'm not against mechs, but I'm also in favor of accomodating people of different skill levels in the game. I'm also in favor of an effort=reward setup, where you get the shiny things only if you "git gud" instead of just having ridiculously OP gear. But at least on that last part, whales would disagree, and the company listens more to those who pay than those who don't.

As for me, I'm currently on 1329 AP. I'll try to use this current event to see if I can upgrade an accessory or two. And while I haven't tried it yet, I just got me an old but rather nice soul badge to replace the starter one I was using. I think I'll see some improvement on my DPS.... Now all I'd need is slightly better ping and less headaches when doing things that require more than half of my brain's cpu power..... It's hard to game after the 40s, after all. :p

With the next update you can buy them for 25 solar energy.  Also Cyan mentioned that the merchant of wonder will be selling stacks of 5 for 25 gold... although didn’t mention if it was the Hard mode merchant, or the CS or HM merchant...

Hopefully is the regular merchant. I have a long ways to go in terms of player skill and character development to even try a hard mode dungeon yet... I may get there one day, with a lot of training and an ample supply of Ibuprofen to calm the resulting headaches...

you can run Heavens Mandate / Col Storage for gem tickets for heptagonals, you can complete the Temple of succession quest line on multiple characters which will give you several hexagonal gems you can later combine (this is a kinda time consuming solution, but it works), you can also farm moon refuge and at least get a set of octagonal gems (they arent upgradable or mailable, but at least they will be better if your gems are under octa stage)

Done all but the moon octas. But I don't worry. I can't complain. I'll get there eventually. I'm also wondering where to find powders other than from random daily dash luck, F10 or events. Fusing a for a hepta requires 2 of those already.

Quick tip, combine all your gems together and upgrade as high as you can and keep the result.  Mail that set between your characters.

I did sort of like that. Didn't strip my characters of their basic gems, but all extras were sent to my main. I managed some heptas, but as i said, i'm like, REALLY behind in the whole gems thing... derp. I did get a penta obsidian for my main. I think it came from one of those free boxes you open many times and they give you stuff and a 10 hour cool down. If it wasn't from there, it came from some bundle I may have bought in a totally not 20 dollar whale fashion...

Yeah, I'm aware of that much already, but what does this have to do with summoners not being able to spec out aerials?

I don't have the list of what was before and what we have now in terms of changes to skills, but the current problem with summoners is most likely caused by those changes. Perhaps the devs overlooked it or there was something else that made them reach the decision to keep those non editable on that specific class. The current setup seems kind of unfair in that sense, since other classes can remove those skills from their line ups. Though I don't know if there's another class in the same boat as summoners.

Anyway, I only skimmed through some of the comments so sorry if it was already dressed. Rather than arguing about what p2w is or isn't, let's compare the differences between what you get when you spend on Warframe vs what you get when you spend on Blade & Soul. I.e. Warframe you spend $50 to get a Warframe the day it comes out and get some Forma/Potatoes or you spend $400 on Platinum to get a perfectly rolled riven mod, or even $2,000 to get a few perfect riven mods. Then compare that to spending $50 on Blade & Soul for a Mastery & Duelist Bundle, or $400 to max your soul, or $2,000 to max your soul/heart and get your Pet/Talisman pretty high up and stage 10 or awaken your accessories. And also note the different kinds of progression each game has and what it takes to clear different content. How would a F2P player catch up or compete in Warframe and B&S?

People like to compare things. I've done it myself. Anyway, for your examples of maxing Riven mods vs Soul+Heart and spending stupid amounts of money, what I can say is that in both cases, maxing these only makes already trivialized content even faster to do.

You can add the old versions of Tera to this comparison as well. Back then, you only needed mid tier content to do everything in the game. But there was still the so called vision maker (VM) gear up for grabbing. Getting the materials to craft it and then to max enchant it costed people either a long grind or they could whip a credit card, buy off some stuff from the cash shop and sell it in game for gold to buy mats from players who dedicated themselves solely to farming it. But other than bragging rights, such gear was simply not needed to complete the content. You could use it for speed runs, though.

Now, since I'm not even on mid tier gear for this game, I have to trust on what others can say about how high one must get here to reach a point where at least all pve content can be comfortably completed without needing more dps. Is an awakened soul (the base + 140 atp on a 8 second CD) really needed to reach at least a comfortable point? Is it really THAT useful when you could be trying to get instead the much cheaper to achieve boss attack power? After all, dps is needed mostly for boss fights. So stacking that stat can be extremely useful. Then again, plain atp serves both for pve and pvp, and we should always remember that this game has a pvp element where you earn materials not obtained through pve. Heck, some may argue the whole point of maxing is to trivialize pvp. So there's also that. Still, how much is really enough?

  12. Guys, guys. It's clear we are never meant to understand, much less accept each other's points. Some will side on one guy, the other will side with the other guy. This is exactly where the corporate heads behind these schemes want you. You have played right into their traps. They make money, and while people bicker about what's exactly p2w, they keep making money because an activity not everyone disagrees with is a legit activity in their view.

I won't hope to convince any of you to give any quarter here, and it's not even needed. But may you all at least discuss without all the triggering and one-upping?

This is just an advice from a chill dude who mains a poor man's 235K dps BD (an upgrade from past week's 180k, yay me!).... So take it if it pleases you. If not, you will hear it from the oncoming mod. :P

  13. I don't do toi other than the 3 wins daily, and instead of waiting to be defeated in the next round I just teleport away at the fourth fight. BUT, at least from what I've seen on my own warden when I go there, I do see the AI actively moving away from warden circle. Sometimes I fight them at the edge of the circle, but most of the time they walk past my range to force me out of the circle. Perhaps not all of the opponents do it?

  14. You can solo up to 60 HM12 through regular story. Can take like 50 hours. This does not mean you can't find a friend to do the stuff together. Only some instances are mandatory solo. The rest is optional and can be done either solo or with partners, but the content is so easy that most people just solo it. So if you want to party up, see if you can find others starting out and do the stuff together. PuG-ing may be much harder, though.

The real end game starts after you finish story and some solo side quests like Temple of Succession. From all of this, you get enough gear to be able to party up for the current starter dungeons that are part of the daily challenges like Naryu Sanctum, Irontech Forge, and Ebondrake Lair. Moon Refuge and Celestial Basin are also nearly mandatory spots for newbies to farm in. You can do those solo or with a party. PuG-ing these may be easier. But you must advertise yourself through the chats to find people.

  15. There may be censored things in games like these, but since they are in PC, you can add texture mods. I have one or two myself. A recolor here, a thing added or removed there, and you can change how your outfit looks and only you get to see it. I personally believe in sexy but not in sexual, unless the theme of the game can allow going with less (like the Conan games, for example). But usually, while I like sexy looks and sexy outfits the same way as the next guy, I'm not really into looking at exposed bits while fighting monsters or other NPC humans. But that's just me. As I said, there are mods that can give you most of what you'd want and then some. For those, though, search engines are your friends. And do note that official Support won't help you with a modded game if something goes wrong. So explore, learn and then apply.

Arent moon refuge channels dynamic like basins are? meaning the moment the amount of people hits the limit more channels are automatically opened. If there arent more channels means there arent that many people there to begin with.

No idea. I've always seen only 2. And in Basin I always see 6.

You want to take away a feature that makes you look like a badass sending up a huge monster up in the air, only to pummel them to the ground, so you could farm faster?

Yikes, and ouch. I don't know whether to agree with you on this or not.

As I explained before, it causes wipes if the party's dps is low enough that you need every second of that dps. Seen a few CS runs where constant air comboing caused the enrage timer to go past the party dps, causing such a wipe. Most cases it's usually a newbie out of story mode who doesn't know the implications. I have explained it to some mid dungeon and they try to correct themselves.  But in some cases, some people can troll with this to intentionally cause that wipe and waste everyone's time. So yeah, while it LOOKS awesome, the fact that it lowers dps by a lot and that it can be and HAS been used to troll is reason for at least a review of the practice.

Another option would be to keep the invisible collision detector of the boss in the ground so people can still dps it while the air animation runs. Still, the skills do so poor damage by themselves that they lower the dps of even the one performing them. Either way, some coding from Korea will be needed if we get to "fix" this.

Well, the only skill reference I have is from before awakening patch, where it was indeed disable-able. So if they changed something after that, no, I'm not, please explain.

Post awakening, quite a few skills from quite a few classes were changed in heavy ways. So while each class spec can do new things now, some old things they could do were removed as well.

  18. Right now real grouping starts at level 60 because the devs made every dungeon below that level pretty much obsolete. People just rush through story to reach 60 so they can do end game. Sadly many MMOs go this route after being around for a few years, so this isn't the only one to do this.

The mod said if you think someone is cheating, don't really have any evidence for that and afaik bugs should be posted on the forum.

This seems more like a bug in BNSBuddy's part. At least that's how I see it. So maybe alerting the staff over there to correct it or at least post their stance on such a thing. As for what you can make a ticket here for, you actually CAN ticket for a bug. But again, this one seems on the other side, so they should be the ones handling it, or at least letting people know if it's intended or not.
