Returning Player questions

Hi! I recently felt like picking this game back up after a few years of not playing. I stopped around the start of the Silver Frost mountains release. From what I am seeing there has been a few changes to the game that effect classes. I was wondering as someone who hasn't played for so long. Would it be easier to pick up where I stopped (I was playing a Gon Destroyer) or just start back over as either the same or another class?

just pick up where you left off, you’ll get the necessary (updated) gear through completion of the story. you can salvage your old gear, but i’d probably keep it as a souvenir ;)
