Give Knockback to Summoner's Beckon again, please

I'm not sure the reason why Summoner's Beckon - Knockback get removed, but it greatly affects Summoner, PvE and PvP wise.

 

What can Beckon - Knockback do exactly?

 

PvE: Assuming Beckon-Knockback can do joint-attack, Summoner can contribute to some mechanic. For example:

 

-The Blood Thrall in Temple of Eluvium requires to send his double-CC adds to him to clear his anti-damage barrier. Normally, BD and Des shine here as they can just carry the adds. Another uncommon choice if you don't have BD/Des is getting one-two class with knockback to push the add toward the boss. Summoner with Beckon-Knockback can contribute to the later if the raid doesn't have BD/Des.

 

-The Hive Queen's mech phase where it require Knockback. While Summoner is not the best class for this duty, Summoner can still help push stray explosive add.

 

-Peacekeeper in Nightfall Sanctuary. The "rescue" part requires a knockbacker, and Summoner with Knockback fits here perfectly.

 

PvP: Beckon-Knockback can push away the opponent and disable their charging skill. While Beckon-Knockdown pull opponent toward the cat and disable their defensive skill.

 

-Depend on the situation, you do not always want to pull your opponent toward you, especially when it is a melee class. By sending the melee away and block their charging skill, you can gain some distance and buy time.

 

-Beckon-Knockback also help to deal with classes that use protective fields like WL, FM, Sin and another Sum. With this, they can aggressively push away those classes from turtling inside their comfortable zone.

I aqm happy the knockback got removed. Because it was and still is uterly useless.

 

- blood Thrall - Grab classes are much more prefered for this as they can grab the add move in and move out much better than doing the stupid knockback.

- Hive queen - again other classes are much more suited for these roles. summoner is better off DPSing

- Peacekepper - while yes you have a slight point here, classes with higher mobility are much safer for this mechanic.

 

for PVP there are other skills you have that disable approach skills. The knockback was useless when it was there in PVP. the knock down is much better.

You can easily gain your distance while they are in their protective sones as they wont leave them.

 

That being said, the knockback was useless and its good it got removed. It did not benefit summoners in any way.
