Can't do Hard Mode DT/EC?/NF?

Quoting the Fire and Blood patch notes:

Hard Mode for Ebondrake Citadel, Desolate Tomb, and Naryu Foundry is no longer available via Cross-Server Dungeon (F8) but can still be accessed via the dungeon entrance.

You can't enter Hard Mode from F8 - this is confirmed, and correct. 

However, you also cannot enter from open world at the dungeon entrance in Zaiwei. If the party is changed to Hard Mode in open world, the dungeon entrance becomes a black portal with a red X over it, and prevents the party from entering ("You do not meet this dungeon's requirements", something like that). 

 

I didn't try this for EC and NF, but I will assume they are the same way. Are hard mode for these dungeons completely removed? My clanmates and I were going to do hard mode DT because it actually goes faster than normal mode (due to the annoying phasing in normal mode of the second boss).
