Positional damage bonus of Summoner's Thorn Strike - Outdated relic that serves no purpose

You remember when Ice Soul Fighter's RMB still has positional skill modifier when they attacked from behind? Better damage and faster Chi stacking. Whenever a SF is the tanker, they cannot be on the boss back as often, or when the main tanker needs to face boss toward the party (Raven King's pizza mech), or when boss just turns at you doing mech, the class loses DPS due to positional damage.

Now they have move the whole positional damage straight to the main damage, concluding the nonsense for the class.

Earth Summoner, meanwhile, still have the positional damage sticking to their Thorn Strike.

With VT gear, Thorn Strike becomes essential for their rotation, and the positional damage gimps their DPS for above reasons.

Granted that Summoner can easily to make boss turn away with their cat if the Summoner is the tanker, but it is not always the ideal situation. Such as ranged tank in Twin Asura where Fire boss will always face you and cat taunt = wipe. And cat taunt is 8s with 12s cooldown, so you have 4s of DPS gimped, anyway.

Meanwhile, Assassin the backstabbers with many move that moves to behind and expose the back, do not even have positional damage or whatever.

It is not for PvP either, since PvP Summoner uses CC version of Thorn Strike that deals barely any damage.

So yeah, just move the positional damage of Summoner's Thorn Strike to its main damage, like what NCWest have done with SF. The damage bonus serves basically no purpose.
