Phishing scam?

Im sure this is nothing more than just another scam but my real question here is why does NCSOFT doesnt have name restrictions.
Ive played multiple mmos where it just wouldnt let you creat a character that had the name of the company, the word "GM", offensive language, etc as part of the name.
Isnt that a possibility? Coz im sure people fall for this type of mails.
