way of the summoner

is this quest required because i have been playing on the summoner and ignoring this quest and there's a message that keeps on flasing on my screen that keeps telling me to read some letter and everytime i read it its almost nothing and i just keep going

They're just quest that teach you how to play summoner. You should probably do them.

Not because you need to know how, but because I think they're linked with other important quest.

When they work, the quests are fairly easy and at the end you will get a costume as a reward and it is one that you can wear without having to worry about someone ganking you just for wearing it. Not sure how it looks on a Summoner but it looks pretty good on a Gon Force Master. And again, free. :)

can the devs reset the summoner quest thing because idk where to find this anymore i lost it and im to far in the game now

Normally when you red the letter and accept it the purple quest should change from "Read the letter" to something else, like "Do/meet xyz". Then you can click on it and track quest. The quests should be all completed before jadestone village tho. After that purple quests tell you how to sprint longer / run over water / run on walls /..
