Upgrade question/advice

So I finished collecting my mats and have everything to progress one of two items to Siren. I can either do my weapon or my ring. It feels like the ring gets a much better boost in it all . I am just not sure though on what will be best to get. The other thing I am interested in is I have seen some people say we will still not be able to go past True Siren stage next patch because stuff we need to go higher is only available in the 50 cap which is not due for some months. Though again I do not know. 

The next bit comes out to Soul shields. I have ready alot of people saying "Oh just wait for Mushin Tower Floor 8 and get God of War shields" Welllll Floor 8 is not being released this patch... Sooo will the Blackram supply shields still be worth upgrading?

Weapon first always. On Feb10, you can go Pirate. So why not get your weapon ready.

 

For bopae, bsh will be your next best for pve, so dont bother upgrade your poh bopae.
