How To Last Hit A Summoner

Fought a summoner 3 times in a row and his pet killed me after I killed him every time. How do I last hit him if his character is immune to all abilities. I am usually over half health after I knockdown his character but his pet will always kill me before I can kill it, or the player will rez because he is immune.

DPS the cat down while its guarding the rezzing summoner. The cat is still susceptible to any damage and CCs while its keeping guard. For that matter I'm not sure if CCing the cat away is a better solution as I've yet to test that.

An AoE hit to the summoner and cat will do the job, while its body guarding. Its similar to meditating while another person is fighting mobs close by and it aoe's that area, you'll get hit regardless.
