Moonwater Plains Arc - Question

Does the entire arc take place in Madun's memory? I am really confused to what happened after Madun showed us his memory, are we still living is memories, and if not, what happened after he showed us his memories?

Welllllll,

Half of the reason you are confused is due to shitty localization; What really happened is that you were sent to Brightstone village because rumors had it Iksanun, the last guardian alive, was seen there. But the dragon stream Madun used conflicted with the black rose and sent you to the right place... 16 years earlier.

You encounter Jinsoyun but she realizes you're from a future timeline and spares you, then you used the Brightstone altar to dragon jump to the right time.

 

How the localization did put it; You visited Madun's memories for whatever reason, Jinsoyun reffered to you as "not Madun" for whatever reason, then you "Madun" used the altar for god knows what reason. Then you awake in Brightstone village at the actual time and you are yourself (when the hell did you ever dragon jump there from the pub in Blindeye Bazar?). And go figure why the mayor says you helped them 16 years ago... Because it was "Madun" who was there right?

Localization really made that big of a mistake? I can't believe it. (Even though I'm pretty sure what you told me is true and everything makes sense now that you've explained it to me)
