Lost costume

While on the preview F3 screen, I right click an costume in inventory. After wearing the new costume the old one was gone...

So I guess I'll leave this post in case anyone is confused like me. My friend told that F3 is a closet. I can check your costumes in there. On the left side the colored ones (not grayed out) can be dragged to and from the inventory.

 

Completely my user error.
