Is it possible that I don't have to redownload the entire game?

Do I have to download their new launcher or can I keep using the CBT one? I don't like the thought of having to download another megafile to change like 3 things in the game.

You need to redownload.

Redownload. Also, uninstall the CBT client FIRST then install the new client, to avoid any type of future conflicts.
