FFS, kids. Wildstar's forums got breached a while back, meaning emails and passwords were leaked (and possibly IP addresses) and then sold on the black market. Adobe's been hit, Ashley Madison has been hit, blah blah and blah have all been hit by these people who sell the information to other "companies." Hell, I recently lost a dummy email address and password to 000webhost because I was required to use that service for one of my classes. Most of these threads have involved people who were likely hit by the Wildstar breach, who share passwords with their email and game. The credit card thing is absolute nyerk for everyone, and it's not the customer's fault, or really NCsoft's either (I wish they'd shut down the credit card side and point everyone to Amazon or other place for now until they can address the issue with Digital River or whoever the truck they are, though).
