...I have been experimenting with Auto Combat for a while now, and, I must say, for one thing,it is misnamed.... It should be called "Auto Attack", or even "Auto Berserker"as, it only attacks and does naught else as a priority...
...For instance, it pays no attention whatsoever to avoiding any kind of attack in return...
...Seeks to attack only one target at a time... but "Splash" can activate nearby monsters, which it ignores...
...Will stay in one position and not attack a target out of its detector range...
...Can, and mist certainly does, cause a character to die and not attempt to avoid death or heal any injury...
...After having my gunner die twice while on auto combat, while I was off screen, I stayed onscreen and observed the while matter for a while, and watched as my character was twice swarmed by monsters and died, This can be a tremendous waste to hourglasses and regular dungeon time in the Darkweild, as, a dead character stays in the dungeon and uses up time doing so... Not even a funeral or any kind words... tsk...
.. Now, a compromise of sorts is possible, and I am sure many do it this way...Call up Auto Combat, and use it, but stay active and make it work for, and not against you, a supplement, as it were...That was gain the benefits, without most of the detriments... Be careful though, as it will stubbornly attempt to do as it will anyway.... For instance,if slow to act, my gunner shot where the AC wished, once leading to a cool "Over the head" shot, backwards... But, rarely will this benefit a RT...
...So, use it with care and do not trust it to be nice to you or your precious character... I post this for those who are unaware of these facts, and not for those who are, just as a courtesy.... I rather hated it when it happened to my character, and, I figure it might well have happened, or will happen to another HongMoon warrior....
