I never stated that it's not cheating to tinker with skill gcd.

It is unfair to modify these values because they should be the same for everyone.
As for global cool down (actual gcd) should be a setting because high ping players will have higher advantage than low ping because the gcd doesn't match the users ping. Therefore hitting bigger skill delay than high ping players. GCD is set as 150ms by default (and was once modifiable via xml before) but now hardcoded as 150.
Players with 180ms~ ingame could cast skills faster than 60ms players. since gcd adds delay to match gcd

but if higher ping player is above gcd. there isn't any added delays. Therefore hitting skills faster. 

 

Fairly simple system. but not optimized properly.
You can disable the GCD via xml. (recommended if ingame ping is lower than 100)
or keep it on when ping is higher as it auto adjusts to your ping as well. 
It should adjust below 100 which it isn't. And that's already a big flaw.

Looked it up, apparently they removed GCD from settings because some skills no longer used it.
As for ff14, there's skills like "Speed" to remove CD from the GCD on weapon skills and such.
FF14 never had the option for it. But always were implemented into the game.

This "gcd edit" is pure cheating and i won't understand the players who use their ping as an excuse to use something like that. Generally speaking.

 

 

I have to disagree with you there.
The first XML change I can think of that directly contradicts your statement would be (for example) with the Summoner. More precisely earth summoner.
Here, priorities are changed and this allows you to use the "Sunburst" talent, which allows you to use skills at the same time that you can't use otherwise. This results in a damage increase of about 15-20%. Which in turn also fills the "breaker bar" in the actual content faster, because the needed skill (Q) is faster ready again, etc...etc.... And since that's not possible normally it's just not possible for every mid-range player to imitate this without the said modifications.

 

There are so many "simple mode edits" i could list here that clearly contradict your statement. And that applies to every class.

You're only talking about the people that abuse the features...
GCD Editing is cheating as it's hardcoded and only modifiable via 3rd party tools.
But disabling Global GCD should be an ingame option as it is for W@W and other popular MMORPG that has it implemented.

• Remove load screen 
• Make you load faster in Arena. 
• Remove cool down on dragon pulse.

• Make your ping better and ms better. Witch lead to more dps and faster everything. 
• Global cooldown disabled. Also known as GCD 
• XML = Change files, remove files, edit files, to your liking. It can be all from macro to a specifik color on the game. 

If you want to go ahead and call that ''ester eggs'' then yeah, no reason to keep talking with you bzc you clearly don't have a grasp of what you talk about.  

Cutscenes are skippable manually. No problem here.
Loading screens can be avoided depending of areas if you have a good better

Loading faster in arena also depends on computers. Yet the counter is the same for everyone. So whats the point.
Accessing all outfits via mods is not a game breaking thing as it only affects yourself.
Having a better ping can vary depending where the player is located, so you lose one point on that one as well.

Having GCD disabled allows players with lower than 100ms ingame to actually have no input lag.
And people higher than 150+ms with gcd can spam more than those with lower ping with GCD on, which is also already unfair.

 

Some xml edits are banable, shouldnt be even touched. Yet there's xml edits that gives you a better QoL/Better experience. So that's a double edged sword.
Editing simple mode to make skills easier to spam on a single button. Yet a mediocre player should still be able to perform just as well without the edits.

BnSBuddy was never made to abuse and can't edit GCD.
It's the community that abuses our tools for unfair advantanges and/or laziness.

Kr have x4 servers, if someone use xml it won't be noticeable probably. 
NcWest have x1 server. 

Now with that math we take some assuming numbers just to make a point. That NcWest have around 2-3k players + Alts. 
When koldra happens, almost every player do it. And right after they killed first dragon they log their alts. 

Now what will happen to a server if all players log in / log out different characters at the same time. 
Its not hard to figure out right? 

You could say its like open the doors to a store on black friday. 
Simple math. And adding to that xml / gcd users. 

I get that you are sick of it and a lot of players are. But most things are actually not the games fault. Its the community.

Ps: It is Ncsoft fault for allowing Xml / Gcd That part is true. 
 

It's true that people do abuse xml changes.

Hence why ncsoft added extra security to those files.
But like all security. There is always a workaround.

 

The people that made the tools possible for xml changes were meant for QoL changes.
Nothing more.

There's always going to be butthurt people, like you for example.
And others that would want better QoL because the state of the game is terrible(You can't disagree on that one)

Since 3 months not only  I have in game ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ fps / freez / Lag, my friends and klan mate's too, but oh support will help u what a great joke.

I only have the problems with BnS, all other high end games run perfect on my pc.
8 days with the support and done all whole pc reset, new installation of the game, start with special rights, send dxdiag, hijackthis data, talked to my internet provider , used vpn nothing helps, talked to my  pc specialist, he says my pc and internet running perfect, the game server is the problem by me that only the support can solve.
Cool 3 years spend over 9000,- for ?nothing?, because I cant play the game anymore.
The support says we cant help u anymore please contact your internet provider or a pc specialist really, is not like I've don't done this in this 8 days written with support, so you get ignored, but hey support says it's my PC my PC  NOT the game or the server xD. 
Now we play another game and have fun and omg what a surprise no problems in it, but remember it's my Pc. 

The only thing I can say is it feels nice to quit and I won't accept to install bns buddy just to run the game on sh.. graphics, but a bit acceptable performance.

So don't be worried about the current game problems it's not the games fault, it's your pc xD .

Maybe the support can help you xD (sry) maybe not.

I hope it's really just your pc and u can play the game better after contacting the support or you're one of us ?. You just get 8 wonderful days with support, for destroying your pc and most of the time u get ignored what you write, but maybe some of there nonsense they talking will help you.
Who knows how there game work's.

BnS Buddy itself is a life saver for the game and you can't deny that. It's the people that abuses of it's features that makes the game unpleasant for others.

Just want to clear some misinformation about bns buddy in russia.
Russian never banned bns buddy, as bns buddy never supported russian servers to start with.
They banned xml tampering/editing as a whole. But ofcourse some edits aren't detectable unless they apply proper measures to do so.

PS: My sister was playing and all right a few moments before I tried to play, in fact I taught her some dungeon mechanics, I can swear that everything was perfect until that fall of the internet, where she got annoyed and I wanted to enter and This whole problem started ... help!

if the game fails to open on bns buddy, make sure to uninstall the d912pxy mod properly (no d3d9.dll in bin64 folder)
and try turning on multiclient in extras. With these steps, you should be able to launch the game.
