  1. As much as it pains me to agree with Grimoir, this event is more for newer players I feel like, though you should do the event and collect as much free ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ as possible since it’s so easy to complete. That Hongsil treasure draw is worse than treasure trove though. What a horrific way of taking money from your players. I don’t understand this company when it comes to micro transactions. They put tons of pointless ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ in the rewards, but yet don’t add any items for new or veterans to collect. And the items they do add require you to spend so much money. If they were more reasonable with their micro transactions, say somebody could spend 15$ on the treasure draw, and get a really insane amount of ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤, then wouldn’t that mean more people would be willing to participate????? It’s like their too greedy for their own good. Ugh

I remember lvl 45 times where i could not kick online players. So i am not sure if that is correct maybe in beta times ?

well i didn't start playing the game until early 2017. Vote kicking was an option in f8 dungeon groups. They removed it for some reason idky. probably same reason we dont have in-game voice chat.

And that's a problem? It's not. The problem is this: developers believe the only way to keep people around in "endgame" they force the players through hours upon hours of senseless mind numbing grind. In other words, Team Bloodlust developers want us to work a second job playing their game. That concept is outdated and no longer the case. While there is a necessity for grinding for improving gear, doing so that takes months and months does not sit well with a large portion of the player base. Only those who are ultra dedicated to reaching the maximum level obtainable for gear will press on towards the goal. However, that leads to one thing that developers, no matter whom they are, cannot overcome, 'player burnout.' This happens after reaching that pinnacle of top level gear. After that...they have nothing left to achieve.

Now, throw in Alts. What's this newly maxed out main of a player going to do? That's right...start all over. However, I dare say that many do not complete that task because they realize they have to do the exact same thing to this new alt as they did with their original or main character. That happened to me on my BM. I maxed out on all gear after starting January 2016 completing that in September of 2016. Retired, I didn't have much else to do so I spent 10 plus hours a day playing 5+ days a week. After reaching that, I started on a new one, my current FM main. Then in October they announced a new gear level! I got to 45 of my FM and just said that's enough. I couldn't do this anymore. And I know I'm not the only one who faced that issue too.

That's not how to promote longevity and loyalty from a player. It doesn't work well. With all the other games of this genre on the market, they are going to leave to play something else that doesn't require them to spend that much time, effort, and money investing themselves into. SWTOR was a game that had grinding requirements and it took a month to three months depending on how your worked at it. Now, they've changed over to NCSOFT model from 2016 (very similar). After playing that game from the very beginning, I simply walked away with no intention of going back.

What keeps people playing, especially this game, is the story! Having alts to go back through it learning new information and experiences with a new character should not be such a grind as I faced back in 2016. QoL improvement would be such that all materials for upgrading should be allowed to send to alts just so they don't have to burn themselves out with mind numbing grinding. These games are supposed to be fun, adventurous, and satisfying. Senseless grinding does not endure itself to the aforementioned I just stated.

So, yes, we should be allowed to give our alts things we already worked for that we have and give them a jump start so they don't have to rinse and repeat the process of senseless mind numbing grind over and over and over again. That doesn't promote longevity or loyalty, it deflates them.

Definitely not wrong. Im just saying, there never going to do that, because thats a big part of how they make money. your 100% correct.

  4. Thought I'd throw this on here. I think open world content is an area where the game suffers a bit. I think back to the days of the Zaiwei Ruins, Beastbog, Grand Harvest Square, Nightshade, and E Fleet, and many other instances around the world. I think it would be cool to see more content like this in future. Maybe even bringing back field bosses to the game for areas like Gunwon City, Solak, Empyrean Citadel, etc. Maybe even bringing back the wheel of fate, with new weapons and outfits. Moon refuge, and Celestial Basin are good examples of more open world content, but it seems like its more catered to beginners. There's not a lot of difficult open world content of higher difficulty. I dont know just my 2 cents.

I concur. All items used to upgrade weapons and accessories should be account bound or saleable in the market. NCSOFT should allow the players what they want to do with these items and not dictate to use how too.

Thats a big part of how they make money. If that was the case, everybody would be fully geared, and their alts and their aunties alts.

  6. I think the whole bound to account, non trade, and trade item situation is something NCsoft should really look into revamping. It is a very important part of the game, and allowing certain items to be bound to account or not, really affects the game as a whole. So they do have to be careful of what is bound or not. But let me also mention that this is why you should always go ham with these events that they offer. You may not need anything from a particular event at all, but storing up a lot of items that you can't do anything with at the time, will be really beneficial in the future, because we know a lot of the core mats we need for endgame right now, will eventually become bound to account at some point.

  7. I've gotten a lot of elder scales, and tons of moonstones. Not to mention it's really easy to complete. Just don't understand why theres a cooldown on these pouches but whatever. We need more events like this, and even better ones. They keep the game alive.

When Ebon Realm event area was out, I tried that auto-hunt mode. That mode gave me true insight on how the game combat is SUPPOSED TO WORK. Granted it was with 0 delay combat since server was doing it for you but still, the insane attack speed and skill excecution was completely unreal. The current state of combat is in unaccepteable levels when compared to that mode, nothing else to say.

I used to not have much issues with it but now even im starting to get affected by it and after seeing what it is supposed to be like, it starts making me angry when I know the flow of combat could be much much faster which was originally intended. Unable to use skills and deal with boss attacks in real time when my connection to server is less than 50ms is when I start making a fuss and that doesn't happen often.

At least make the combat client sided instead of server sided. Without player syncing. If someone lags, let that person lag. It shouldn't affect me. I don't need to see what other people in my party are doing in real time lol, well most of the time.

I suggest you look at reddit and read on what exactly each profit margin from NC counts for because what you are saying here is completely off base. An d someone literally explained in detail what ahd how much each earning of NC are and what they come from and bns as a whole, is very high up from EU + NA.

wow you actually said something right for once im shocked. Furthermore, if you use common sense yeh..A company like NCsoft as money hungry as they are, isn't going to keep pouring money, time, and effort into a game that makes them pennies. They're continuing to release content for a reason. That's why it's important that players understand the power you have. If you withdraw your support for a little bit, NCsoft will start to question why people are not supporting the game as usual..

It has? I will remind you a year ago that they increased the evolution costs for progression when they gave us the Excel spreadsheet that said what the new lower costs were; however, in game they increased almost astronomically! I have a few acquaintances playing on the Korean and Japanese servers that say though they have RNG involved, their upgrades are far less convoluted than what we're given. There is a huge disparaging between the Western servers and the Asian servers. While we have 2 modes for heroic dungeons, they have 3. Their easy mode is not like ours. Their normal mode is equivalent to our easy mode. Funny that, eh?

Ok yeah that was a year ago. I was talking about right now in 2020. The progression has gotten better. Of course not perfect at all. As far as our progression vs other regions. idk who you've been talking to, but from what I've seen with my eye balls, KR for sure seems to have more difficult progression. As far as the 3rd dungeon mode, I'm pretty sure that's on the way in a later major patch. If we get another major patch..

As I understand and what I have heared, core issue is in how the game was originally built on UE3 by the original creators. The way it was built made it impossible to expand the game without significant performance issues hence why performance has progressively gotten worse over the years of new content adding. It was never meant to have the crazy damage scaling and amount of gear we have now though that's just my opinion. That means devs only have 2 options here if they want to fix it.

Recreate the game on UE3 or...

    Recreate the game on UE4.

Logically recreating it on UE4 would be better since it has all the new engine improvements as well. Both options would take significant amount of time to do though, we are talking about many many years of work. Something they might not be willing to do or do not have time to do so. All comes down to what the company wants to do with BnS when it's about performance. If they continue creating content on BnS, it would be better to recreate the game as a side job and upgrade when it's done and considering the fact that they are using UE4 to create stuff on mobile already, there is no excuse to not recreate it on that engine.

Right I understand that. My point was more that I don't understand why there's so many Players who seem to blow off the fact that this game is running so poorly.

Guess my point flew over your head completly on both my posts.. i tried to be vague and expected you to just understand what i meant..

The Hongmoon store gives you options for faster and easier progression.

Which is why in my first reply i said "Never gonna understand why people dislike things that help them progress easier & Faster. That has always been one of the best things in BnS for me and the reason why i kept playing."

Ohhhhh I got you. I'm not against micro-transactions entirely, but I don't think it's right for a company to push micro-transactions, but yet their game is not functional. That's my major concern right now. You can spend money on whatever you want, no ones stopping you, but understand that you are spending money on a game that's run by people who aren't going to make the game your playing better unless they feel like the playerbase is not happy. And this company only understands low sales. So I guess I can counter your statement with my own statement. I will never understand why people continue to support a game that is basically broken in terms of performance. If you go to the store, and buy a box of cards, and you take it home and there's no cards in it, why would you keep buying the cards? That boggles my mind.

  13. 6 hours ago, Uldrum said:

There are groups of people who are against faster & Easier progression, and want these methods removed from the game.

I just personally do not understand why people are against it since it helps to speed up the gearing quite a bit, as it’s one of the main Reasons i stuck with the gsme through all these years.

I agree. I wish the game was more based off of skill, rather than how many hours a year you spend playing the game. A lot of people, especially veterans get upset when upgrades get nerfed in MMOS in general because some feel that they put in a lot of effort and new players should too. But that's a real self centered way of looking at a game genre that is always bringing in different people from different audiences. A perfect example of the kind of content they should continue to add is the new revamped solo dungeons. It gives more options for players to gear up. I think it's perfect.

What I say is no indictment on the staff; however, based on NCSOFT's history and by extension, NCWest, nothing we say has any merit with the company(s). A proven track record of ignoring the fan base, especially by NCSOFT here in the Western region should tell everyone the truth of that. NCSOFT forces the west into the Korean model without regard to what western players enjoy, like, or want. Either we accept it or move on. The monetary support from the west for this game is less than one percent, far less judging by the financial reports Jarke shared in one of his recent YT videos. All the players in the west could stop spending money on the game and NCSOFT would not bat an eye, they'd simply turn it off for western players. They (NCSOFT) simply do not care. The answer as to why? NCSOFT Korea never really spent any time trying to understand western players. Had they done their homework and research they'd promoted this game differently and made changes in the game that western players would found more enjoyable and stayed longer playing the game.

Now don't get me wrong concerning the game. While there are some problems I, and I know others have their own reasons, have issues with, the game is enjoyable to play, just to play. The main story is what brings me back to play and its the senseless grinding (second job like) that drive me away when I've had enough. The story is what makes this game in my opinion, even when it has some Acts and secondary add-ons that appear contrived and forced. Sadly though, when a company refuses to listen to a portion of its customers that is a huge issue for me. NCSOFT, in my opinion, is akin to being the Asian version of EA. Where the almighty dollar is all that matters. If that wasn't true...we'd not see all this massive loot boxes that require N-coins (read: real money) to obtain. Where these things should be readily available in game to obtain in similar number by completing objectives. They are not.

Lastly, say what you want, get it out of your system. If it makes you feel better by expressing yourself here, do so. However, it falls on deaf ears. Which, in my opinion, will ultimately lead to the game's demise and/or NCSOFT too, maybe not since they listen to the player base in Korea, China, and Japan for the most part. Here, us westerners are only valued for the money we wantonly spend on their pay to play/win scheme.

I must say that progression is definitely easier in the west than the other regions. Korea I know for a fact has a lot of rng upgrades and their upgrades overall require a lot of materials and other items. Compared to years ago, our progression has gotten a lot better. I just don't understand wth is going on with performance and why nobody seems to care. Very weird.

It's mostly because there is a segment of the population that doesn't work and expects everything in life to be free.  They resent, and openly hate people who work and have money to spend on their leisure time.  These people are the ones who have no problems stealing from people they believe who don't deserve what they have or have more than them.  They are dangerous and unpredictable people in general.

I have been playing this game for a good minute. I've seen every major patch, every dungeon, and every raid added since early 2017. I don't know if you have also, but I can tell you that B&S is literally my favorite MMO of all time. I've played this game so damn much, and I've had a great time doing it too. To this day, no matter how bad the game gets, I still have fun every time I log on. If you understand that, then you would understand that I have watched this game crumble and fall down lower than it ever has since I started playing it. It's one thing when you join a broken game and you like it, and it's another thing when you join a great, well maintained, vibrant eastern mmo, and watch it slowly die. I don't ask for people to reconsider support so that they stop supporting permanently and the game just dies. I want people to consider that we are not being communicated to in a correct manor. And the only way to get these executives attention is with money. If I didn't care about the game, why would I be sitting here trying to convince you that I love this game?? Don't bring your personal feelings about how people feel about whales into this issue. You do whatever you want with your money. But that doesn't mean I shouldn't be able to urge you to look at the bigger picture. And that big picture is simple. As long as individuals continue to support a company that is not treating their player base right, failure is imminent. Like I said, I'm not going to sit here and let one of my favorite mmos of all time fall over and die without a fight.

Generally, my opinion is if you want raid items you should do raids, the fact they add them to the low weeklies is a nice to have. Plus no need to remove anything considering you have a choice to pick what you want. Doesnt hurt anyone being in there, if you dont need them dont pick them.

Ok Grim that wasn't my point in the first place. Raid items are one thing. My point is, pointless, outdated items keyword "items" should be removed from daily rewards weekly rewards, rewards in general, especially the daily dash. Why you do always pick and ramble about things I say that were never my original point in the first place?
