Preparing update takes forever

Anyone know a way around this or why it takes so damn long? at this rate I'd be better off redownloading the whole game and I was at 80% ish last night.. that took a long time too for soem reason, not my internet speed as usualy doesn't take over an hour to download 30-40 GB or whatever it is these days, showed as around 40GB to me for download.

 

UPDATE: Nevermind, it resumed at 85% but if anyone wants to give tips for future reference I'd appreciate it.

What are your specs? Unless something weird happened that sounds like your pc is just a slowpoke.
