Downloading updates dont save?

So do downloads for updates just not save when you exit the launcher? I waited to download updates for 2 hours and it was at 73 percent, I then had to restart my computer for other reasons and when I come back it starts back at 1 percent. I hate waiting for these updates because every time I have to update BnS it takes years. As compared to Fortnite updates, when it downloads to maybe say...90 percent, I can exit the launcher and restart my computer for anything and still come back to a 90 percent complete download.

It works like it works with all the mobile games.

 

Imagine 100% is 1000MB so you downloaded 73% which is 730mb and 270mb is left. Now you restart the programm and 270mb is the new 100% now you start again with 1% but 10% are 27mb now instead of 100mb.
