I just got the got quest the road to darkness, and I am at mushins tower right now. Do I need to do all 20 floors to progress the story forward? Or am I missing something here?

LMAO no no you don't have to do the whole 20 floors. At your level that's not the best idea. 

You just go to the second floor from the stairs. 

Try looking up the guide on YouTube, it's easier to see than explain.

Actually, the quest bugged out on me, so I already put out a ticket. It is not allowing me to go to the seat of mushin or have a yellow marker above Yura's head.
