I cant go to mushin tower.

I stopped playing a few months ago before all the content.

 

I dont have the letter from the road to darkness quest. There is no "the calling of the saryu sage" quest that ive seen is a prerequisite for entering it and ive tried looking all over the place but nothing has seemed to help. if i talk to chungsil he just says "good luck in the tower"

not sure where you stuck at but I'm just guessing that your at MST entrance portal but can't get in.

if this is the case you might have missed the little girl npc left of the portal that lets you enter MST. Talk to her and she will give you option to chose the starting floor. click 1st floor and the portal should be open for you.
