Should I upgrade to True Infernal Dagger or Profane Dagger from Awakened Infernal Dagger?

If you don't have a fiery nebula stone, you have no choice so you have to go to True Infernal.

 

Otherwise, here is the thing : If you have the fiery nebula stone, you can use it until the 3rd of August (in 3 days it'll be unusable), so you have few choices :

 

1. If you can get the items to go to Awakened / True Profane, just use the normal path from True infernal, then use the nebula stone (Before 3rd of August), so you'll get to Oathbreaker with less cost.

2. If you can't get to True Profane without the nebula stone, then use it before the 3rd of August.

 

At the end, it doesn't matter what path you choose as you'll get to the same weapon anyway, it will just reduce significantly your cost at higher weapons.
