Pets in 6-man?

So far I know that pets drop from a few of the heroic dungeons by looking at their loots, but are they only available in 4-man mode? I've done the 6-man version of these dungeons (cold, heavens mandate, nexus etc) quite a few times since the new patch, but I haven't seen a pet drop yet. I'm wondering if I can only get them through 4-man versions, and can someone tell me what the maximum bid usually is? I don't want to overbid when I finally see one haha xD

Seen a pet drop last night in Cold storage at the first boss , so i know its possible

and the max bid is around the price of the stone on market =)
