Crafting and Gathering Time...

My apologizes if this has been addressed, I simply cannot find it through the search function.

 

My question is this: Is it possible to lower the crafting and gathering times down for items. My BM is with the Radiant Ring and I am seeing for brilliant and higher gems at 20 hours. The same goes for gathering items such as gold and tin (iirc). I believe I'm at level 3 for my gathering skills and 2 for gem crafting. Is it possible to lower these times when you level up higher or is this the way it is? It seems rather absurd to have time like this to craft. In SWTOR I had all the professions and crafted like mad for selling on GTN, but here...wow...it takes days to do something right now. So, any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Indeed here it takes long time to craft items but no there is no way to lower the times as far as I know of. If there were or will be I bet it would be from Hongmoon Store.
